I need help from a computer expert in order to solve a computer sound device setting problem or internet option setting problem.

I can’t hear any sound from my sound device when the sound digital data are to be sent in to my computer through internet. Therefore I have the problem of hearing no sound from YB Kit’s video blog even though I can see the pictures! When I try to load some youtube videos, I have the same problem too.

However, I can hear sound from my sound device when I load video from a DVD disc or from a hard disk, therefore I guess that the problem is not related to driver installation. Probably my internet option has some unwanted settings which cause my present computer problem.

Can someone please advise me on how to solve the problem? I am keen to watch YB Kit speaking in the Parliament!

In one word. YB Ipoh Timur tidak boleh buat sebarang pertanyaan. Kerana segalanya akan dibuat oleh MACC.

How stupider can the logic get? MACC will determine who is responsible. No doubt about that. But the umno gobermen as a whole is accountable for the super mega scandal.

And 12.5b is not something the umno gobermen can ever hope to brush aside. In fact no carpet is going to be large enough to cover the scandal.

The rakyat are very lucky to have brother Kit Siang. Keep up the pace, brother Kit Siang. We stand solidly behind you until we get to the bottom of this RM12.5 billion PKFZ scandal. Keep it going till GE13. We must not allow the worst ever scandal in our Malaysian history to cool down. Bong Kang is a useless and powerless Minister of Shows.

As I have said before, this supposed to be MACC is just like if not worst than the previous ACA in terms of fairness and efficiency. The people are the same. Old wine in a new bottle.
It is amazing to hear reply from this super duper idiotic bum with “world” class degrees.
Bro Lim, keep up the pressure and digging even it take years. poor 12Billion bucks of poor rakyat money ended up in somebody pockets!!!

it is like telling the quack, i have an ache on my head and the quack tied a bandage on your head and say you be fine and treid sent you off.
There many quacks out there and we all know how there got up there.

“take your computer to the shop…maybe you don’t have a sound card?” (lee wee tak_)

    Thank you, Mr Lee!

But your suggestion is not going to be the solution. I did have an embedded sound card which came with my Dell vostro 200 PC and I am sure the sound card works properly when the sound digital data are coming from the DVD disc or from my hard disk. However, there is no sound generated when the sound digital data are being sent through internet from a website, such as Lim Kit Siang Blogsite or Youtube blogsite. It must have something to do with the software settings on my computer Windows Operating System or on Flash Player software. Only a true expert will be able to tell me the answer!

One judge out of the three judges of the Court of Appeal which heard the case of Nizar vs Zambry delayed in declaring her version of judgement verdict because of her computer problem. Perhaps she got a legitimate reason because nowadays there are many sabotage softwares being transmitted to one’s computer through internet without one’s knowing about it!

Just some interpretation of RM12.5 billion, if one ringgit note, 12.5 billion pieces, each 0.44gram, would weigh 5.5 billion gram, or 55,000 tons, each 6 cm in length, line up length to length, would be 75billion cm or 750 million metre, 750,000 km, enough to circumnavigate equator 18.7 times ! If low cost house rm42000 each, can build about 298,000 units, can house (say 5 ppl per unit), 1.49 million rakyat !!
If each university cause rm 70 million, can built, 179 universities !!
Each km of express way cost rm15 million, could hv built 832km

Backdoor Senator Deputy Finance Minister, Awang Adek Hussin is a disgrace to Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania! Even he is a PhD holder in the famous school, but he is rejected by Malaysians in last GE! This proves that he is not efficient enough to bring development to Malaysia!

Since he is so proud of where he graduates, I suggest him that try to get a job there to prove that his PhD is genuinely accredited!

    Onlooker Politics,

Try to use another Browser. Some can only work with Window Internet Explorer and not Goggle Chrome or Firefox. GOOD LUCK!!

OnPol your sound has several ‘channels’, some hardware, some software. The volume for each of the channels can be controlled independently, although there is also one ‘Master’ control. The YouTube videos are Flash Video and use a channel labelled ‘PCM’ on a Vostro 200 running Ubuntu here.

No doubt someone who knows Windows will be able to tell you where to find an ‘advanced’ volume control (it will be hidden away somewhere in the Control Panel / Settings – I forget what they’re called – no need to install anything) with sliders for all the channels. That should be all you need!

Onlooker Politics……Thanks again for pointing my mistake on Jean Todt.
On your computer matter…I have zero knowledge…but watched my programmer attending to my problems.
I noticed when I fast wind movies…strange things happened.
I tried switching computer completely off…and restart…all OK.
At times…I suspect LKS switched it off…and we cannot get in.
But most of the time..it is TMB …3 days cannot get in…nothing wrong with our computer. I am used to that.
Thunder storm…try not to use the computer at that time.
Once awhile…plugs are loose…no full connections….due to maid sweeping the floor? So check all connections.
If your computer is equipped with the up to date system…..and with original parts….you should not get any problems.
The anti virus system must be up to date. Check it out with your computer supplier.
The problem can also start with one changing a hardware to your computer that is not original and cannot last.
Therefore…..make sure you have a truthful reliable programmer..which is quite rare nowadays.
Weird messages or Icons suddenly appear..do you know how to click them off?

Resorting to flaunting one’s qualifications when trying to defend the undefensible is not the solution. Bill Gates never completed his Harvard education. Nearer to home, Lim Goh Tong built his Genting empire without the help of any PHD degree.

And for the info of the good Deputy Minister, the financial mess in the world today was created by people with his similar qualifications. So, a PHd is no measure of ability.

From the video, the Speaker had asked that whether he had sided the Timbalan Menteri. The answer is obvious: “Yes. He did” (in my view).

When he say that a MP is not allowed to ask repetitive question, when a qestion is answered. However, base on the question and answer in video, the so called answer is obviously not an answer given.

How can question designated against Government being answered on the capacity of personal, yet being being take as answering the question already?

With this, doesn’t it obvious that the Speaker had been sided with those Menteri, which simply try to evade accountability to the Parliment, which represent the voter / Malaysian as whole?

Thus, i personaly believe that new rule should be established to allow a Speaker to be removed, with some guideline and rule.

A speaker can’t be simply given unruly power to judge right or wrong. Let’s make this happen by voted out whoever against this idea. Let’s vote out whoever that go against the bosses (i.e us, the common Malaysian).

    Dear Speaker,

Yes, the question had been raised and raised, and it is indeed true that the general public known about the question raised. However, there had not been cleared answer and accountability given.

And you are right the respect had to be earned. This is obviously applicable to yourself.

    Thanks.

    Regards.

    Thank you OrangRojak and monsterball.

I finally found some clues about the computer problem of mine which indicated video pictures on monitor but no sound could be heard from the peripheral audio system after several days’ tough juggling with the computer.

It was not a problem of which the true cause could be easily detected without spending some long hours to follow the “trials and errors” method. Finally, thanks be to the following website because it provided me with the right solution to the audio sounding problem of my computer:

    http://boredsysadm.blogspot.com/2008/03/windows-xp-sp3-and-microsoft-hd-audio.html

Actually, I could avoid such a computer problem by sticking to my old version of Microsoft Windows Version SP2. I recently upgraded the Windows Operating System to Microsoft Windows Version SP3 because I found that a colleague of mine installed a pirated version of Microsoft Windows Version SP2 on my computer. Legally and morally, software piracy was against my personal principle therefore I paid for a piece of Microsoft Windows SP3 in order for it to be reinstalled on my computer. However, I did not realize that Windows SP3 was a bit different from Windows SP2 because the former was having some incompatibilities with the driver (a little piece of programming codes which would provide a set of instructions for the audio system to do work accordingly) for Audio Device on High Definition audio bus, which came with my Dell Vostro 200 computer. Therefore I was not able to use my audio system after installing Windows SP3, until I started to do some patches on the Windows registry document.

    Morale of my story:
Pakatan Rakyat used a slogan “Change for the Better” during 308 General Election. However, the process of change sometimes did cause us some pains, such as political chaos like that of Perak Fiasco. Therefore the people must learn to take things easily and learn to bear the hardship with perserverence and persistence even if we were required to endure in long-suffering during the transition period of Change of Government from the hands of Barisan Nasional to the hands of Pakatan Rakyat!
