The Sulu loyalists to the self appointed Sultan of Sulu, Jamala Kirim III invaded Sabah on the 12th February 2013, the second day of the Lunar New Year.

Soon after Lim Kit Siang MP visited Sabah and travelled to Tawau, Lahad Datu and Felda Sahabat. Despite the hue and cry and the dangers of an invading force, Lim Kit Siang was in Lahad Datu and Felda Sahabat to assess the situation. Incidentally, Kit Siang was in Sabah from the 20th February, while PM Najib went to Sabah on the 2nd of March.

I too was in Sabah for three days last week, against the advice of well meaning supporters.

We went to Lahad Datu out of a sense of duty and loyalty to our country. Armed foreign invaders have landed on the coasts of Sabah. Our country was in danger. Every loyal citizen must help, especially political leaders.

JAMALA KIRIM the self-proclaimed leader of the Invaders is a fake sultan.

He claimed to be the Sultan of Sulu but his claim has been demolished by the present descendants of the Sulu Sulanate, who insisted that Jamala was unknown to them, and is definitely not an heir to the Sulu Sultanate.

Now that Kirim is a fake, the rationale for the invasion is gone. The purpose and objective are no more. The two to three hundred invaders should therefore disarm themselves and surrender and go back to their homeland.

It is likely that the armed invaders are lost, aimless and frightened. They are alone. There is little or no support from local citizens of Sulu origin. They are at a loss.

Other than using military force to compel them to surrender, it might be more productive to use PROPAGANDA to INDUCE them to surrender.

PROPAGANDA MESSAGE

1. YOUR MISSION IS ABOLISHED, AS JAMALA KIRIM IS NOT YOUR SULTAN OF SULU. HE IS A FAKE ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT LIVING DESCENDANTS OF THE SULTANATE.

2.THE PEOPLE OF SABAH INCLUDING THOSE OF SULU ORIGIN DO NOT SUPPORT ARMED VIOLENCE. THEY ARE HAPPY IN SABAH, HAVE JOBS AND ENJOY A GOOD LIFE.

3. PRESIDENT AQUINO OF PHILLIPINES TOO ARE NOT SUPPORTIVE OF YOUR ARMED STRUGGLE.

4. THE FORMER PRESIDENT OF MNLF ALSO SAID THAT THE MNLF WILL NOT INTERFERE OR SUPPORT YOUR ARMED STRUGGLE.

5. YOUR ONLY SOLUTION IS TO SURRENDER AND ASK FOR FAIR TREATMENT.
