Congrats to Ramli on being elected as first Orang Asli MP

I congratulate Ramli Mohd Nor on being the first Orang Asli to be elected Member of Parliament in Malaysia.

The result was inevitable but on the same day Teresa Kok announced plan to meet with other ministries on palm oil, even as palm oil price hit 7 month high, showing she has little clue what to do for Felda voters.

Palm oil price, the key driver of Felda welfare, is in the hands of shale oil and OPEC, as well as US-China trade negotiator. There is nothing Ms. Kok can do unless she can convince India to drop tariffs that would kill their farmers.

It epitomises how PH is full of ministers are not the super performers needed to face the toughest problems. It’s unfair but in these age of global problems, it’s what is necessary to fix the problems.

PH leaders keep being preoccupied with their limitations and challenges. They do not understand no one cares. Mat Sabu is wrong if he says BN did not win Cameron Highland or outstation voters did not vote. Yes PAS, made it happen but outstation voters is not the issue. PH need to win Felda voters, it need to wipe out BN influence just to have a chance at getting at PAS and Hadi Awang influence.

PH leaders do not even know how to claim that without PH, neither UMNO nor PAS would have chosen Ramli as MIC/PPP would have taken the seat. PH need to find an orang Asli rep going forward.

Camerons was a lesson in general for Harapan, and a lesson in particular for DAP. I hope that DAP will do a detail analysis of the results to see the voters message. At a quick glance, how come DAP loss this time as bigger than in GE14 when DUMNO bribery was rampant? And that was despite a larger support from the Orang Asli? Who deserted DAP? Was it fedup people who did not wish to vote for DAP and so cast spoil votes or just simply refuse to vote? Please do a detail analysis. Else GE 15 may see a similar pattern.

What a short article! LKS is so downcast that he can’t write more.
