The Sungai Kandis, Seri Setia and Balakong by-elections in Selangor are the building blocks for the making of the MCA/UMNO/PAS unholy alliance to topple the Pakatan Harapan government before the 15th General Election in 2013 and such ignoble efforts must be exposed and defeated.

UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has said that the entire UMNO leadership would attend the PAS Muktamar in Kuala Terengganu next week.

But I do not expect the MCA leadership would dare to be so brazen and blatant as to attend the PAS Muktamar, as it already speaks of great desperado on the part of MCA leaders that they could agree to PAS leaders appearing in MCA ceramahs in the Balang by-election for the sake of saving the deposit of the MCA candidate.

But why had UMNO given way to PAS in the Seri Setia by-election?

In the May 2018 general election, where there was a four-cornered contest in Seri Setia, the UMNO/BN candidate polled 9,878 votes as compared to the PAS candidate who secured only 4,563 votes and lost his deposit.

It would be understandable for UMNO to give way to PAS to contest in the by-election if PAS candidate had secured more votes than the UMNO candidate in the May 2018 general election, but the PAS candidate not only lost out to the UMNO candidate, he even lost his deposit!

Why then did UMNO give way to PAS to contest the Seri Setia by-election.

The answer is obvious. The Sungai Kandis, Seri Setia and Balakong by-elections are building blocks for the making of the MCA/UMNO/PAS unholy alliance to topple the Pakatan Harapan government before 15GE in 2013, with UMNO contesting in Sungai Kandis, PAS in Seri Setia and MCA in Balakong – while all the three parties secretly or overtly helping each other in the three by-elections.

The MCA/UMNO/PAS get-together is most irresponsible, unprincipled, toxic and opportunistic alliance as it is not founded on principles and any noble objectives, but based on the selfish interests of the leaders who want to topple the Pakatan Harapan Government and return to the corruption, abuses of power and injustices of the Najib government which was thrown out peacefully and democratically in the 14th General Election on May 9, 2018.

I am rather worried about the voter turnout for the Seri Setia and Balakong by-elections bomorrow as the public holidays for the next four days at a stretch may defeat Pakatan Harapan efforts to call for a high turnout of voters in the by-election, so as to avoid the dismally low 49.4 per cent voter turnout in the Sungai Kandis by-election.

The 14th General Election on May 9, 2018 had been described as a “gift of hope” to Malaysians for a New Malaysia, where life would be better under a new government where Malaysians can hope and dream again to make Malaysia a great and respected nation in the world.

On that day, Malaysians not only in the country but in the Malaysian Diaspora worldwide stood up and felt proud as Malaysians.

They had stopped the country’s trajectory hurtling towards a failed state, rogue democracy, global kleptocracy and kakistocracy and given Malaysians a second chance to rebuild the country into a world-class nation in various fields of human endeavour, which is united, harmonious, democratic, progressive and prosperous, with rule of law, good governance, public integrity and economic well-being for her citizens.

I call on the voters of Seri Setia and Balakong to turn out in force despite the stretch of four consecutive days of public holdiays, to endorse efforts by Pakatan Harapann to bring about a New Malaysia.

MCA has almost no chance of winning Balakong but sullied themselves embracing a toxic PAS.

The UMNO-PAS union is nuclear waste – toxic deadly even if just near them. But they are not easily avoided much less removed. There is no such thing as safe so long as they are around.

The BY Election are not good news to PH. Balakong increase percentage is meaningless.

In Seri Setia, PAS got increase votes. The UMNO-PAS alliance works for PAS. Bad for UMNO and KJ.

The low turnout shows apathy more than anything and for PH that rode into power on anti-Najib, it’s bad news if PAS can whitewash UMNO.

PH is in real danger despite winning the by-elections
