The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, yesterday cautioned the Malays and bumiputeras against triggering a Malay tsunami in the upcoming 14th General Election as this will jeopardize their rights and interests.
This is a far cry from what Najib said only ten days ago, that that he could not detect a Malay tsunami taking place in the 14GE.
Najib is beginning to learn the truism that “a week is a long time in politics”, and the Polling Day of the 14th General Election on May 9 is still more than three weeks away.
On May 9, 2016 two years ago, Filipinos changed their President. On May 9, 2017, a year ago, the South Koreans changed their President.
Will Malaysians create history on May 9 this year to change the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the government of Malaysia?
Will May 9 see Tun Mahathir as the seventh Prime Minister and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the eighth Prime Minister?
When Anwar Ibrahim leaves Sungai ‘Buloh Prison, who will enter the Prison?
Will May 9 see the end of the famous RAHMAN saying on the first six Prime Ministers of Malaysia – Tunku Abdul Rahman, Abdul Razak, Hussein Onn, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib Razak and the beginning of a new saying predicting the new series of Prime Ministers – starting with Tun Mahathir and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the seventh and eighth Prime Ministers. This means that the second saying to predict a new series of Prime Ministers of Malaysia will start with “MA” – which could be “MALAYSIA”, “MAHATHIR” or any other possible term.
Malaysia will only create history if there is a Malay tsunami on May 9, which will unravel Najib and UMNO/BN’s grand design to win big in the 14th GE, even to regain two-thirds parliamentary majority and restore UMNO hegemony in Malaysian national politics.
From dismissing that a Malay tsunami can happen in Malaysia in the 14GE, the UMNO leaders, propagandists and quinoa cybertroopers have moved to a new position, decrying and trying to create fear among the Malays that a Malay tsunami will be the doom of the Malays.
This is just as much as a lie, fake news and false information like the mountain of lies, fake news and false information they had tried to demonise me in the past few decades,
I have been accused of being anti-Malay, anti-Islam; anti-Chinese educated Chinese; anti-English educated Chinese; anti-Indian; anti-Christian; cause of May 13 riots in 1969; a communist; multiple agent of foreign powers including CIA, KGB, MI5, Australian Secret Intelligence; received RM1 billion from Mahathir, RM100 million from tycoon Robert Kuok and over RM1 from Israeli sources; given RM40 million to a news portal; offered PAS President Hadi Awang RM100 million to defy the Sultan of Selangor; that I dominate and run Pakatan Harapan; want to be Prime Minister when Pakatan Harapan wins the 14th General Election; plan to disband Malay Regiment and destroy Malaysia-China relations, and a catalogue of incredible fake news, false information and downright lies!
The Malay tsunami which will be the outstanding characteristic of the 14th General Election will have the following five aspects:
Firstly, it will mean a rejection of UMNO in the 14GE but it does not mean the doom of the Malays. I had worked with Bapa Malaysia Tunku Abdul Rahman and was in touch with the former third Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Hussein Onn, during their retirement as they were dismayed by the direction that UMNO was taking, and I am now working with Malaysia’s longest-serving Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir because UMNO under Najib today has gone overboard and is only looking after the interests of Najib’s cronies and kleptocrats at the expense of the ordinary Malays and Malaysians we well as the nation’s good name and honour.
Is it ever conceivable that Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Hussein Onn and Tun Mahathir – who had collectively been Prime Ministers of Malaysia for some 40 years – would work against the rights and interests of the Malays?
Of course not.
Instead of enjoying high international esteem, admiration and respect for over four decades of nation-building under the first five Prime Ministers, Malaysia under Najib is now scorned and looked askance by the rest of the world as a global kleptocracy.
This is why UMNO must be defeated and Malaysia saved in the 14th General Election, which will allow Malaysia to join the ranks of normal democracies like Japan, India, South Korea, Taiwan, even Indonesia and Philippines where the voters can exercise their constitutional right to elect the government of their choice peacefully and democratically without threat of violence, chaos or catastrophe.
Secondly, a Malay tsunami in the 14GE to defeat UMNO does not necessarily mean the doom of UMNO. It gives UMNO the opportunity to reform itself to make itself relevant to Malaysian politics.
If political parties in other countries which had dominated the politics of nations during the first decades of their nationhood, like in Japan, India and Taiwan, could recover their relevance and be returned to power in subsequent elections, is UMNO incapable of such a feat?
A Pakatan Harapan Federal Government in Putrajaya will have to demonstrate it is more capable and successful in looking after the rights and interests of all Malaysians, whether Malays, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans, Ibans, Orang Asli as the Pakatan Harapan coalition of PKR, Amanah, Bersatu and DAP, does not want to be a one-term government but want to be the Malaysian Government in Putrajaya not only in the 14GE, but also to enjoy the confidence of the national electorate so as to have the mandate to form the Malaysian Government in Putrajaya in the 15GE, 16GE and thereafter.
Thirdly, a Malay tsunami does not mean the dismantling of Malay-bumiputera institutions and the dissolution or closure of institutions like FELDA, FELCRA, MARA and Tabung Haji but to make them more successful and competitive to serve their original missions and not to become “captive” institutions to serve the interests of Najib cronies and kleptocrats.
Fourthly, a Malay tsunami is not anti-Chinese, anti-Indian, anti-Kadazan or anti-Iban but the best part of a Malaysian Tsunami in the 14GE to reset nation-building policies and directions to fulfill the Malaysian Dream of the Merdeka generation and the Malaysian generation in the first decade of nationhood for Malaysia to become am united, harmonious, just, democratic, progressive and prosperous Malaysia recognized worldwide as a top-class nation in every field of human endeavour instead of hurtling, as at present, towards the trajectory of a failed, rogue and kleptocratic state.
Fifthly, a Malay tsunami is to liberate Malaysia from the ignominy, infamy and iniquity of a global kleptocracy, for no religion would countenance their leaders coming from the ranks of the kleptocratic 4Ps – Pencuri, Perompak Penyagak and Penyamun. It is not anti-Islam, anti-Buddhism, anti-Christianity, anti-Hinduism or anti-Sikkhim but an important step to make Malaysia a model to the world as to how a nation of diverse races, religions, languages and cultures could build a new civilization of tolerance, morality, civility, progress and success from the best of the diverse races, religions, languages and cultures which meet in confluence in Malaysia.
