If 1MDB is a “national savior”, including saving Malaysia RM200 billion over the next 20 years on power agreements, then stop the clampdown and allow a full debate on 1MDB in Parliament!

Friday Oct. 27, 2017 is a watershed day for the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, as he will be tabling the 2018 Budget as his “ultra weapon” for winning the 14th General Election.

Today, as a prelude to his 2018 Budget on Friday, Najib released his “My Economic Vision for Malaysia”, where he boasted about his accomplishments and achievements in his more than seven years as Prime Minister.

What will history and future generations remember about Najib’s premiership?

There will several candidates, like the worst racial and religious polarization in the nation’s 60 year history; the rise of extremism, intolerance and bigotry in a country whose special characteristics is her diversity of races, religions, languages and cultures and whose survival and progress must depend on the qualities of moderation, openness, tolerance and inclusiveness; the worst decline in educational standards; etc.

But the foremost claimant to be Najib’s chief legacy will undoubtedly be the international multi-billion dollar 1MDB money-laundering scandal which shot Malaysia into the stratosphere of infamy and ignominy in being regarded worldwide as a global kleptocracy.

I find it quite unbelievable that Najib has taken the offensive and instead of the charade pretending that 1MDB scandal does not exist, has gone on the attack by presenting the 1MDB as a “national saviour” for Malaysia, claiming that among its various virtues, it will save Malaysia RM200 billion over the next 20 years in solving the “lop-sided power agreements signed by a former leader”.

If 1MDB is such a “national saviour”, including saving RM200 billion over the next 20 years over the power agreements, why is it necessary for the Najib government to impose a clampdown on debate and national discourse of the issue in Parliament and the mainstream media?

Let there be a full debate on the 1MDB in Parliament for a start, instead of the Speaker rejecting questions by MPs on 1MDB and forbidding debate and discussion of the 1MDB scandal in Parliament.

Seriously, Najib is so much like Donald Trump – he is a serial liar.

The only way one could conclude that 1MDB saved RM200b in power agreement is if 1MDB had renewed expiring lob-sided power purchase agreements of power companies they bought at the same old price which WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.

Even before 1MDB proposed to acquire the expiring franchises of power companies, they were already proposing much lower rates for renewals, so Najib is claiming credit for SOMETHING THAT WAS NEVER POSSIBLE.

Remember that 1MDB overpaid for the assets because the agreements were all expiring.

Can Najib be more Trump than Donald Trump himself?

Najib is in such an acute and despicable position that he had to resort to the practice known as “scraping the bottom of the barrel”

What if the gambling goes gone again? Instead of 200 billion profit ove 20 years, it is 200 billion loss (paper-money only) over 20 minutes? Gomen is capable of such losses: ask Dr. M. and our beloved Wan Emdibi. Then we will be tightening expenses, starting with medical facilities for the poor and needy, including old pensioners (pure-white-hair category).

20 years later, no one will remember. Neither N, M, A, or I (me). So go ahead and kelentong about your twenty-year plan.

Finally its revealed how 1MDB paid IPIC debt – they sold more real estate to MOF (with debt) to pay IPIC debt – a bailout that they said they would never do again..No wonder they have been silent about answering Tony Pua’s question..

Najib is a compulsive serial liar like Trump is.

Ala, saving Malaysia RM200 billion? Sounds like cheap advertisements of “Sale”. Buy one trillion, save 200 billion. Shut down 1 MDB, please, and apologise to the Rakyat.

UMNO is the only party capable of defending the likes of 1 MDB, truly inglorious GLCs.
