Empowered citizenry means ‘The End of Days for Umno’

DEC 22 – I have to repeat some of the issues and themes that I have done in the past. Most Malays are at the stage where issues such as corruption, abuse of power, the rottenness of the system that UMNO upholds feature less in importance than the overriding issue – will Malays be all right?

They know the government is bad, deceiving, incompetent, and dishonest – but rationalize it anyway by saying, if others take over, they will do the same. No, it will never be the same, because last time UMNO did all the evils when people are less empowered. Any government straying from the straight path now will be neutralized by an empowered citizenry. That is why UMNO is finding it hard to earn legitimacy at the moment.

So, it does what rogues do – take refuge behind xenophobic and prejudiced worldviews. Suddenly, once again, everything seems to be measured in terms of them doing something to us. Chinese taking over the government from us Malays; Chinese dominating the economy and marginalizing us which is in fact the order of things since UMNO ruled this country. Non-Malays taking over this country and establishing a new national religion replacing Islam; non-Malays especially Chinese taking over and kicking out our Malay rulers.

Even the educated ones fall prey to the xenophobic fears created by a parasitic band of people, bent on staying in power at all costs. Why? Because if they lose, it will the end of days for them – life as they know it – a life founded on corruption, deception and leeching on the majority, will end.

Of course the issues that affect all of us are also important, but to Malays right now, nothing is more important than worrying about their survival and of things dear to them such as race, religion, rulers (occupying a very distant third).

It is a sign of acute mental bondage and subservience of the spirit, if after 55 years of independence; Malays are frightened into believing that their very life depends on UMNO. This kind of xenophobic view allows smooth operators like Reezal Merican (himself of dubious Malay lineage) to claim, God has chosen UMNO to protect Malays.

Can God ever condone the deceit, corruption, the pillage and plunder of the nation’s wealth and incompetence? It’s the same xenophobia that allowed, years earlier, a Malay leader of similar stock as Reezal Merican and an UMNO president to blasphemously state that if God has nor revealed Islam through Muhammad, God would have done it anyway through someone else.

Today, Malay Muslim scholars are tripping over each other to study the thoughts of Mao Tse Mahathir. Could it be, that someone else alluded by Mahathir is UMNO, because it was with this kind of pomposity , the same Reezal Merican was able to say, UMNO has received wahyu from God.

The survival of the Malays has got nothing to do with UMNO. If it does, then Malays in Selangor, in Kelantan, in Penang and in Kedah would no longer exist because in those states UMNO is the opposition party.

Not that these are not important issues, but the basic fear of the Malays must be excised permanently. By the overriding issue being all right I mean will their interests – couched in terms of religion, race and country remain protected? These are the things most dear to the Malays – educated or less so.

So I must continue to write about this issue to allay the fears of the Malays. For 55 years they have been frightened into believing that without UMNO, their lives mean nothing. Educated Malays must play a role ridding such irrational thinking from the minds of the majority Malays.

In a modern democracy, citizens get protection from the rule of law and from legal rights. For instance, the position and whatever benefits meant for Malays are protected by the Agong as provided for by the constitution. The Agong does not cease to exist, if UMNO is not the government. The incoming government still has to uphold the constitution and by extension, the provisions therein.

The laws of the land are the means by which society protect itself. Everyone can be safe and secure, not only Malays with a good government upholding democracy and the rule of law. UMNO is not the protector. The rights of Malays and of all citizens are independent of UMNO which is just a fading political party. – sakmongkol.blogspot.com

The reason why UMNO spent over 30 years distorting the mind of the children via their EDITED Version of general education has only one objective: to stop their ability to think! through a process definitely no less than Hitler’s. Hence, many Malays who depend on UM and BH still believe in the propaganda created by the Celup Malay! Without doubt, if we continue this process for an term or two, the very society they claimed to protect will be a gonna in this flat, flat ,flat world. As it is, signs are everywhere, the Society as a whole has become so dependent in most aspects of thing in life. Can you feel the dead silence of the DPM on education which cannot compete in the international fora of PISA and TIMMS! Not a word from him! Though he did claim that we are suppose to be better than UK and Germany!!! Yes, it is up to the general Malay society to think out-of-the-box! Now! And it is the responsibility of ALL thinking and educated members of this society to spread the truth. If we just compare Malaysia and Indonesia over the remark made by a half educated ex-Minister, it is obvious that the leadership is so desperate of its own survival that he could not distinguish the reason why the President of Indonesia had complained to him and he just kept quiet! Indeed it is the sign of clinging to the straw!

It’s hard to point out (we only can do so much one example, as MSM and all full machinery in whose control ?) when one does not want to open one’s eyes to acknowledge, least to see.
Well, it had been written elsewhere ALL GLC’s , CIVIL SERVICE, MILITARY, POLICE, MACC ?, JUDICIAL, even down to the private enterprises the CHAIRMANS/DIRECTORS ,,, ALL, ALL, ALL ,..have been fully control/fully represented by one particular ? And, UMNO/bn is capitalising on this area (see without seeing, still there are many) – grey’er or white’ter.
The MONARCHY SYSTEM IS FOREEVER REGAL AND IN PRACTISE.
BUT THIS ARTICLE WILL GIVE US HOPE TO MAKE US SEE THE LIGHT OF THE DAY ( if grey to white’ish, dim to brightness) FOR THE GOOD OF ALL , for the future.

Mahathir is the architect of all things bad.
Umno b is corrupted to the core because of him.
    He mocks God..country and People.
    Dollah did not please him.
Najib made his son a Deputy Minister …from nowhere.
He is still the PM behind the curtain.
He steeped down knowing vast majority Malaysians hate him.
His crying announcing his was steeping down ..was a side show.
To cut it short…the end of the day for Umno b will be delivered by young new voters.
    They cannot be easily fooled.

Fear can only bring about uncertainties to one’s life. The Malays should learn to let go of this fear which is NOT of their own creation no matter what their political, economic or social standings is. If it is right intention that is Umno all along then it can only brings about peace and harmony, and not diversity and destruction. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

The Chinese knew what was to become of them since the 70’s. And they did what was not only right but also pragmatic by taking a proactive action to overcome their handicaps. With the right view comes the right intention.

The writer has not be more accurate in his assessment above. UMNO are afraid of losing simply they are afraid the corrupt institution that they have built over the past 50 years will collapse if they lose the next GE. All their corrupt earnings will end. They have no choice but scare the public, the Malays are their main target

Throughout history – the fall and marginalisation of most groups is because their very own leaders fail to act to the challenge – its not because of external threat – even the colonisation by Western powers for hundreds of years in our regio history and even up to today, is because local leaders make up excuses and fail to act.

Malays don’t have to worry about the Chinese threat or anyone else – demographic ensures that its never going to last long. They question that they need to ask is why is it they have to forgo, clean and efficient govt just because they are still not equal to other races? The question is isn’t it even a bigger responsibility on part of their leaders to be cleaner and self-sacrificing if they as a race are not there yet?

The bargains the Malays have to make up with their leaders is simply this – be cleaner, more self-sacrificing and they will give up their entitlement to subsidies and welfare. If the leaders cannot give up corruption, there is no reason for them to give up welfare. In fact, their demanding more welfare is because they are not giving up their corruption..In other words, the message they should sent to their leaders is this – give up your corruption and someday in the future, they will give up their welfare..
