Oct 21 — Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek must be a short-sighted politician for saying that MCA is ready and united to battle DAP in the coming general elections.
Is that all this MCA president thinks about? Beating DAP, not representing all Malaysians in a government.
Is the MCA just focussing on the Chinese vote and not other voters, in its “Battle Without Fear” campaign to keep DAP from becoming part of any government?
What about other races? Actually, what happened to MCA’s soul-searching after the Chinese rejected it in the 2008 elections? Have they forgotten that they wanted to be more inclusive, more Malaysian?
If this is how low MCA has sunk, from a party that protected Chinese interests but also represented Malayans wanting independence, then the party should just close shop.
Beating DAP is not even a target for any self-respecting politician. It is the aim of those who just want to keep power and position without an idea of what to do with such power and position.
MCA needs to understand that it is contesting to win votes for a government that will bring a better future for Malaysia, not to deny rivals their victory.
It looks like it is now a party of also-rans, those who are too simple-minded and obsessed with just keeping power and relevance. It is a party that subscribes to divide-and-rule, one that just wants to say it is all for the Chinese.
The Chinese are more pragmatic than that. This is Malaysia, our homeland. We don’t need to stick to old ways and traditions just so that a few politicians are in the Cabinet.
We want to keep being Malaysians, no matter race or creed. MCA’s politics that Dr Chua subscribes too will just keep us divided with him on the top.
No thank you sir. You should listen to your predecessor Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik. He used to say DAP was No Action, Talk Only or NATO. I think that is now an apt description of the MCA.
Why don’t you just put the party out of its misery and shut it down if you still believe your raison d’etre is to beat the DAP?

With 80% of the Chinese vote in PR side, whatever MCA can gain from the Chinese with negative campaigning won’t make up for the loses in Malay votes especially given the fact that Najib cancels out Chinese votes by racist ranting to gain back the Malay votes.
Overall, it makes absolutely no sense for MCA going down the path it is. Its simply pathetic of those who thought up this strategy..

What choice does MCA have ? It’s been given the task by taikor UMNO to win back Chinese votes, but the more it tries, the worse it gets. How could anyone reconcile the blatant stealing that goes on in indecent haste by UMNO with the conscience of an educated electorate ?
UMNO’s modus operandi is to keep the voters in the dark in the hope that ignorance is bliss and hence the politics of division and hate. MCA can’t go down that path – the Chinese are far more sophisticated and informed.

MCA should understand that playing with communal politics is no longer in vogue. You cannot let Malaysians of ALL races down by being in cahoots with UMNO. We know that they are being fed with crumbs from the UMNO table, but to avoid speaking out against corruption and injustice is like hardening the cynicism of the rakyat.

CSL/MCA concentrate their fire power at DAP cos’ DAP is perceived cornering majority of Chinese votes. MCA’s only strategy left is to drive the wedge between DAP’s secular ideology & PAS’ hudud. Besides that, CSL also says DAP covets to replace it within BN’s federal govt to enjoy perks of patronage power. MCA has multiple problems in this regard:
1. Hudud is recent issue. Chinese turning to DAP is because of their antipathy against MCA arising from its perceived neglect of that community’s interest over decades due to kow towing to UMNO. So the push factor that undermines MCA is actually UMNO which is more than the pull factor by DAP. In targeting DAP, its in denial that its main problem is UMNO, which even today, going out for Malay votes alone as if these are all that count, undermines MCA!;
2. To say that DAP covets to replace MCA ignores the fact that DAP senior leaders (Kit & Karpal) have been struggling for Malaysian Cause for decades before CSL dabbled in politics & without consideration of positions. It shows MCA leaders & supporters are interested only in positions. CSL has no way of knowing how many Chinese members openly support the MCA’s cause and criticize PR/DAP whilst in the ballot (as in 308) actually voted opposition!
3. For MCA cannot deny the blatant fact that it has a lap dog image compared to DAP’s pit bull’s! Proof is: can MCA explain why its top ex leaders made scapegoat and charged for cheating the ex PM in PKFZ scandal where the ex PM himself had come out o say he was not cheated and he accused an honest man? Now if you cannot even protect interests of your top leaders, the argument is, can you, your supporters or the community you claim to represent?
4. If you depend on Malay votes to win in mixed constituency, you’d have a problem convincing the more conservative muslim/malays why you are attacking hudud so fiercely to extent of attributing to Nik Aziz position that he never took; and to the less conservative and those who fear hudud, why CSL said so vehemently that BN would never implement hudud that Najib him self has never confirmed.

Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek should move away from narrow-minded racism and try also to win the votes of other races who are not ethnic Chinese.
#6 by Bigjoe on Sunday, 21 October 2012 - 7:57 pm
The whole strategy is predicated on the fact that MCA think UMNO will successfully keep the Malay votes for them no matter what they say to the Chinese – a very racist point of view.
The one MCA don’t have respect for is not DAP, its PKR and PAS..They are the ones MCA is attacking.

To vast majority Malaysian Chinese…MCA is and always been puppets to Umno B.
They are now wearing T-shirts….advertising and promoting….BN.
Gone is their usual white T-shirts.
One who claims so much support from Malaysians…need to advertise how good they are?
Najib is desperate and so is MCA.

Say what anybody wants.
The fact remains that by acting so dastardly against the PR, especially the DAP, they are in fact making sure of their self destruction.
It also looks like they are antagonising all and sundry regardless of race and religion.
With the GE so close, they are committing suicide.

“Battle without fear” – Fear of what?
For ordinary Malaysians like me my fear is that if we do not stamp out corruption, stop the brain drain, restore the institutions of democracy in our country, the country will be destroyed by a government that has lost its direction.
It appears that for MCA their fear is losing their positions in government and the lucrative business deals that comes with being in position of power.

“Strategy of driving a wedge between DAP and PAS” – Half baked arguments cannot drive a wedge between DAP and PAS. The people are more educated and better informed. When are they going to wake up from their drunken stupor?

“Battle without fear” in itself shows the extreme fear the MCA jokers feel deep in their hearts. The FEAR that they are going to be wiped out like GERAKAN has taken root so much so that they mistakenly fear DAP. It is PKR and the exUMNO dna in PKR that they should fear. Not even PAS. PAS is talking of an Islamic state and hudud laws just to garner the votes of the Muslim conservatives. The educated and knowledgeable Malay Muslims would not want their country to go back a few centuries in the hands of the taliban mullahs.
CSL and his son are leading the fight for Chinese votes because everyone knows their positions in the cabinet rests on them to fight the proxy war of UMNO against the Chinese.
The day CSL, his son and the MCA ministers say something contrary to UMNO’s stand, CSL would have to face the charge of having illicit sex with some one other than his wife.
None of the present MCA leaders can match LKS, LGE or the other Chinese leaders in DAP for integrity, unwavering political philosophy for a Malaysian Malaysia and the guts to fight for their cause.
Most Malaysians perceive CSL and his cohorts in MCA have sold out the rights of not only the Chinese but Malaysians as a whole for selfish motives of position and power.
CSL would go down the MCA history as the one who decimated it for wanton self interest.

Why is CSL so scared of DAP? Shouldn’t he be more scared of the corruption within BN, which would bankrupt the country?
#14 by balance88 on Monday, 22 October 2012 - 10:38 am
Bottom line = MCA is devoid of ideas. They are attempting to equate DAP to Chinese and scare all the Malay votes away from DAP and leave UMNO to deal with the Malay votes. Of course, there is the other issue of Penang which BN is trying to win back.
MCA is led by a president that has a big moral issue and to think all those MCA members voted for such a president says a lot about the people running MCA, i.e. a party lacking morality, integrity and leadership. And MCA wants to drive the Chinese cause! How preposterous and hypocritical.
In the current political landscape it is not easy for PAS to implement the Hudud law, a fear MCA is instilling into the Chinese. There are bigger issues to concern about like corruption, economic growth, education accessibility, etc, etc.
MCA has been striking fear iton the Chinese for decades on the need for MCA to protect the Chinese interest in particular education. Look where we are today. Are we any better? Do you know how much hassle it is just to get a Chinese school set up? Good performing students still have problems securing scholarships. Our young need to go to private universities for their education which is extremely costly.
Still want to vote for MCA?

“MCA needs to understand that it is contesting to win votes for a government that will bring a better future for Malaysia, not to deny rivals their victory…
Absolutely. Furthermore when you declared that this latest AGM is not to discuss policies but rather to focus on winning the GE, it shows how pathetic MCA has become.
The party that allowed UMNO to ride roughshod over them while they meekly played “yes’ men over the last 5 decades needs to do more than beg on their knees for the RM30m for the Chinese schools. A party that would also forsake its former leader because he dares to stand up against UMNO in the PKFZ scandal and when his actions threatened to reveal the rotten role many in BN that were involved, UMNO stooges in the MCA were helped to seized power to help cover up the stinking filth that was PKFZ.
Other incidents where MCA should feel ashamed when they look at themselves in the mirror is the role played by a senior MCA minister to help cover up the abuses of the police in the Bersih rallies when they fired tear gas and chemical laced water into Tung Shin hospital. When caught out later, no apologies was even tendered for the twisted press statements.
A party that has sunk to this boot licking level for crumbs does not deserve any respect, much less support. The Chinese have their pride and to support MCA to return BN to another term is simply selling their souls, something the Chinese will not tolerate.
It is not DAP or hudud. It is simply getting rid of a bunch of boot licking spineless eunuchs.

To put the RM30m handout in perspective, a family of a senior UMNO minister received RM250m to rear cows.
Are cows worth more than 8 times than educating the young, the future of our nation?

MCA gets support from Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali. “We have to choose between BN or Pakatan Rakyat. After weighing everything, we conclude that MCA is better than DAP in many aspects”, Ibrahim says. Reason: “MCA has for a long time accepted Umno’s leadership but DAP does not accept PAS’ leadership and intention to form an Islamic nation. This is how DAP differs from MCA,” he added. (Malaysiakini’s report 22nd Oct under title “MCA is better than DAP, says Perkasa”). This support really “helps” MCA’s cause! Ha Ha Ha.

Najib’s instruction….MCA must win Malaysian Chinese votes and not depend on Umno B votes to get voted in like beggars!!
And so…..Chua Soi Lek is doing his best..performing like a clown.

Do you all remember…Nazri…Hishamuddin…and few others keep hinting MCA should get out of BN…for not doing their part to win votes for BN?
Chua Soi Lek…changed overnight.
What a good puppet he is…showing all MCA puppets the way to stay and keep MCA alive.
Alive for what??
For the first time…their AGM is only 76% attendance…not full house…and yet Chua said..that’s god enough.
Imagine…..100% attendance in the past…all got voted out at 12th GE.
Now with 76%….Chua Soi Lek claims Malaysians Chinese are supporting MCA more and more.
His low class show is exposing what he is….no need to expose him further.
