Merdeka!

by Allan Goh

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

The voices that reverberated,

Rousted the birth of a new Nation,

Unshackled, no more subjugated.

It was a new dawn, a new era,

For people’s hope and aspiration,

To build a shared common destiny,

With one soul and one inspiration.

Mereka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

That call united all the races,

In the pursuit of independence,

Free from the forced colonial braces.

People wanted to live their own lives,

And form their own common destiny.

They eschewed any exploitations,

Hoped for a nation of harmony.

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

The shouts will soon make that famous boom,

To commemorate history again,

As another Merdeka Day looms.

It’s time for a progressive Nation

To pause in deep deliberations,

Of the country’s achievements and faults,

To chart better aims and directions.

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

The loud clamour for Merdeka Day

Should also honour all Malaysians,

Who preserve the Nation from decay:

People who place nation before self,

Citizens who serve with selflessness,

Malaysians who stand for true values,

United to march towards greatness.

10,000 people at Janji demokrasi, led by NOT by Ambiga or Pak Samad? Its should trouble UMNO/BN more than Bersih 3.0 and a warning that Bersih 4.0 will be EPIC – Typhoon-like – a Perfect Storm..

Najib’s speech at the end of the Medeka celebration to young ones…not eligible to vote yet is “Trust Me” “I am People’s PM” repeated all over again.
If not that……what do you expect him to say?
If Najib can feel and talk like Allan Goh…gone case for him.

Najib said enough is enough talking politics against Oppositions and then…start all over again.
His memory is worst than mamak.
Split second…he can change his mind.
    His mind is overloaded…a General fighting a loss war..thinking a way out…every day..every second.
He sounds normal in the mists of crooks.
Put him side by side ….next to Anwar at a stage for a debate…he will pee in his pants.
