It is the most cowardly, craven and irresponsible response from Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein who is proving to be the lousiest Home Minister in the nation’s history.
How can a responsible Home Minister claim ignorance when a top Special Branch officer could go public to make the most damning allegations against Federal opposition parties as claiming that Jemaah Islamiah (JI) terrorists and communists are infiltrating PAS and DAP respectively to stand as candidates in the next general election when there is no basis whatsoever?
All that Hishammuddin has got to say on the serious allegations by Special Branch’s assistant director of the E2 (M) national social extremist threat division head Mohd Sofian Md Makin is that he was “not sure” about the alleged infiltration of Islamist terrorists and communists into Pakatan Rakyat, that “I don’t have the relevant information at the present moment. Therefore, I cannot say whether it is true or not. I can only say this much, this topic is very sensitive.”
Would this be Hishammuddin’s response if Sofian had publicly alleged that terrorists and communists have infiltrated into UMNO, MCA, Gerakan, MIC, and the BN Sabah and Sarawak parties to stand as candidates in the next general election?
Of course not!
Is it conceivable that a responsible and diligent Home Minister would not have been informed or his approval sought before a top Special Branch officer go off on a rampage against the Federal opposition and that he would be completely clueless what Sofian was saying?
Was Sofian acting unilaterally and arbitrarily without getting clearance from the Inspector-General of Police and the Home Minister to make the “political attacks” on the Pakatan Rakyat? If so, Sofian had not only committed a gross breach of civil service discipline, he is guilty of an anti-national act and should be suspended immediately from his Special Branch position before he could do more mischief!
No sane or sensible person would believe that Sofian was acting independently on his own bat, like an unguided missile.
This is confirmed when Sofian told the press that he had given some 300 talks exposing the security risks represented by Pakatan Rakayat parties which he accused of being “anti-government”.
This would mean Sofian had been poisoning and brainwashing the minds particularly of the students and the young generation of Malaysians with his lies, falsehoods and ridiculous conspiracy theories for may be two years assuming he gives a talk an average of once in three days.
Sofian is the archtypical example of a “national social extremist threat” his division is supposed to be monitoring!
Imagine a Home Minister who does not know what his top Special Branch officer had been doing in public talks for some two years?
Is Hishammuddin admitting he is the lousiest Home Minister in the nation’s 54-year history?

The whole country knows Hishammuddin is a coward with a big idiotic mouth.
I have said that many times.
He is not qualified to be a Home Minister.
He is put there to defend his party.
Keep reading all his comments and you know the two idiotic cousins have very low IQ.
The only difference is Hisham’s wife keep out of politics…whereas Rosmah started off bang bang bang to make sure she becomes a PM’s wife.

Holding upright a Kris shouting…”Hidup Melayu” than apologized to minorities.
Henceforth… something in him shrunk and he turned to promote his cousin’s leadership and speak about Malaysian home affairs… AFTER everyone have spoken.
His big mouth is legendary.
His low IQ is legendary.
His carrying Najib’s …you know what is legendary.
He is our Home Minister!!!
Why do Almighty punishes Malaysians with Hisham guarding the home???
#4 by yhsiew on Saturday, 21 July 2012 - 3:08 pm
Agreed.
Hishammuddin only knows how to protect Umno/BN and does not know how to protect the people and the country.
#5 by Bigjoe on Saturday, 21 July 2012 - 4:39 pm
While its true Hishamuddin is being irresponsible, critics misses the point – UMNO/BN has no fortitude to sustain their lies.
The SB declaration, Muhiyiddin warning of May 13, Najib’s ‘defend Putrajaya with bodies and broken bones’ even refusal to declar smooth transition of govt – they are all empty threats.
The crux of the matter is UMNO/BN attempt at any deception is unworkable on their own. If they attempt to bolster their deception this time with actual force, it will turn this country into a pariah state of which they have NO stomach for it even if many UMNO/BN faces destruction of their lives.
All the opposition really has to do is keep calling their bluff and they will fall apart on their own..

My God, and he has a law degree from Britain! If they keep roducing such ‘good’ graduates, we should start sending our children to Bangalesh to be educated.

This puding can become the lousiest home minister because of his birth as a PM’s son.
#8 by ENDANGERED HORNBILL on Saturday, 21 July 2012 - 5:02 pm
Can the Universiti Malaya give this upstart Home Minister an honorary doctorate for being such a stupid minister?
Hey, it is time we recognise such stupidity!
#9 by Winston on Saturday, 21 July 2012 - 5:33 pm
LKS, don’t be too taken up by such stunts.
By all means whack him.
But the biggest, most rewarding triumph for all Malaysians would be to kick UMNO/BN out.
Make sure that this event will come to fruition
in the next GE.
Then, Malaysians can fry him.

Hisham is accusing Lim Kit Siang too old fashion…living in the old world.
He asked LKS to wake up and live in the real world.
Imagine…..an idiot teaching LKS.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, hishamudin, now let’s see……
this communism thing….well, do u think they are funded by N. Korea, Cuba, Russia or China?
And u think they r out to create chaos or to take over the country?
And, ok, it’s getting a little annoying and ridiculous now…and, of course, u have been intercepting their emails, phone calls to know all this.
Look, it sounds so pornographic already. I am also sure u have photographed their b#lls between the bedsheets. So, why don’t u just go out and arrest them instead of talking to the stupid walls like malaysians have time for yr stupidity.

Hishamudin is quite an unintelligent guy from the way he reasons and carries himself. He must have paid a lot for his toilet paper degree. He is not fit to be a minister and should be flipping burgers instead.
#13 by monsterball on Sunday, 22 July 2012 - 12:32 am
The lousiest…the most idiotic…the biggest coward….sickening hypocrite….you name it…he is that.
I think must have copied and written answers at his palms…legs…and pass exams that way.
A degree from which University?
What degree?
Has anyone sees him talk like a smart intelligent degree man?
These blighters do not know whom paid their salaries.
They all think they own the country inherited through their grandfathers.
All the past GE…since Mahathir’s time…until now.. are for show….until their shows crumpled down at 12th GE.
They all have turned to be straw men…grabbing straws in a river to avoid drowning.
That’s what they are….desperate buggers that cannot afford to be beaten in a GE.

It really is now or never..

Hshamudin is only taking a leaf from “Mein Kampf” whereby Hitler claimed that the Jews were taking power in Germany, and hence the death camps for them

“I don’t have the relevant information at the present moment”- Home Minister. One may criticize him “the lousiest Home Minister in the nation’s history” (as he being head, where buck is supposed to stop, seems to be not on top of things) but it might well then be the honest truth. People know that the ruling party including ministers and the political bosses are at stress trying to avert the prospect of the Opposition (PR) breaching their citadel of power in next GE. So there’s a lot of private initiatives at ingratiation going on – to say something do something either to make the ruling party look good and the Opposition look bad.
#20 by Jeffrey on Sunday, 22 July 2012 - 12:32 pm
The dynamics of ingratiation has the objective of gaining notoriety by saying something bad about the Opposition so that it produces sufficient publicity or media attention to himself so that the political bosses will take note and know his eligibility if there were a place up in the hierarchy for promotion. This does not apply to only some officer in police force: it applies to any someone in the political hierarchy or even in the media or anywhere trying to win favours to get promotion opportunities. When one hits at the opposition (even if the bosses knew nothing about it aforehand) this act (which bosses ought to approve) hopefully implies an obligation for reciprocity to return the favour by subsequent rewards. Of course when he gets the full report Hishammuddin said “Right now, I am saying that the reports that have come to me, whatever penetration (in the opposition) as far as ideology is concerned, it does not affect the security, safety and stability of our nation. So don’t make it more than that.”
#21 by Jeffrey on Sunday, 22 July 2012 - 12:33 pm
This shows the making of a mountain out of mole hill by the one who brought the issue up for ingratiation! (It also suggests the Home Minister may not know anything about all this in the beginning but after that of course may not resist temptation to politically capitalise on the issue). If there were really a threat to nation, the persons who were involved would have been nabbed by SB in 1st instance than talk about it! The purpose is to bring up –infiltration of communist and Jemaah Islamiah ideologiescommunist – just to link with the Opposition for propaganda purposes. What constitutes a link & infiltration? Anyone who says anything that he believes in communist / Jemaah Islamiah will fit the bill though he has done nothing and joined no one in concert to pose a national threat. If ones goes by this definition of what is ‘infiltration’ then persons sympathetic to communist / Jemaah Islamiah ideologies whether in whole or parts who have not only ‘infiltrated’ PR parties but also BN’s parties and even some of the legal NGOs and societies!
#22 by Jeffrey on Sunday, 22 July 2012 - 12:52 pm
As I have lamented any times before ethical principles (for fairness and justice) and standing up for the truth is not a particularly strong point amongst the general populace whether they are in politics, business and whatever the socio economic status. The clever is forever looking out for opportunities to serve his personal cause whether to make money or gain promotion and notoriety for one self. We don’t care the effects on others. The principle of what is abstract truth or justice is of course farthest from our consideration when we embark to say or do a thing. I don’t want to name names but reading some of the columnists whether in mainstream or blogs it is evident they use their considerable intelligence and writing skills with selective citation of facts to skew their opinions to influence others to help one side or the other of the political divide. Its for self benefit. It is prevalent also because we are a very divided nation cutting across right down the middle. This provides for purposes of self gain/benefit ample personal opportunities to ingratiate the side in power which being under political siege and stress is vulnerable to reciprocate gratitude with rewards!

This irresponsible damning allegation by Najib’s BN regime to mess up the Opposition will back fire – scare off foreign investors and shutting down of embassies as what Canada just did to its Visa Office in May this year.
And they expect our graduates to return home take up jobs here, …or rifles?
#24 by Jeffrey on Sunday, 22 July 2012 - 5:44 pm
Just as 1 swallow doesn’t make a summer, so just because one SB assistant’s remarks try to link PR with Communist/ Jemaah Islamiah ideologies (for whatever reasons) does not necessarily mean the whole of SB is guilty of political opportunism to boost BN at PR’ expense! I am surprised at the DAP Secretary General’s arguments that if SB were “so intent on fighting communists then they should be fully ashamed for failing to perform their duty by acting against Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin ” who “should be arrested and charged for allegedly trying to revive the ideology by setting up a permanent secretariat on October 12 2009 to strengthen ties between BN Youth and the Communist Youth League CYL of China”. This is no way to counter BN’s propaganda. It is no argument! Might as well ask SB to arrest the PM for promoting our trade with Communist China and when he visited China from 2-5 June 2009 he mentioned his family’s special relationship with China. This is totally out of context. PKR & and DAP were on record calling for the government to allow the return of former Communist leader Chin Peng, who has spent more than 40 years in exile. Does this mean that PKR & DAP were penetrated by Communists?

///Is Communism a threat to Malaysia’s security? If so then why are we still friends with China, Cuba, etc., and why can their citizens come to Malaysia and our citizens go to their country? Is this not a threat to our national security? If the answer is no then what is wrong if Malaysians become Communists? We are friends with Communist countries. We can go to Communist countries and they too come to Malaysia. So where is the danger?///–RPK, http://www.malaysia-today.net/mtcolumns/no-holds-barred/50724-the-222-idiots-we-have-in-parliament
The police might want to link Jemaah Islamiah (JI) with terrorism, but it certainly cannot link communism with terrorism because communist countries have not been blamed for orgainising terrorism in other countries. If the government is selected by the people based on ballot boxes, like Malaysia practicing (it claims anyway) democracy through free and fair election, then the people have every right to decide whatever ideology they support. No ideology should be outlawed, only the actions should abide by the law. Like RPK argues, if Malaysia is against terrorism, then there is no reason why it should allow communists to visit this countries. It would certainly cost more expenses to the government to get its SB to verify whether individual Malaysians have been influenced into accepting thoughts than would be gained from money spent by tourists from communist countries. Indeed if Malaysia intends to wipe out communism then it should not have trade dealings with communist countries; Malaysia should not make communist countries rich. Viet Nam, China and Russia are still communist states. Why does the government allow business dealings with people from communist countries but disallow communists in the country. Indeed if Malaysia practices democracy, what right has the government control the mind of the people?
UMNO subscribes to the idea that the Malay community ( of course constitutional Malays had the larger share) should collectively own a certain percentage of equity capital in corporate sector in the country. It is communism when wealth sharing becomes an ideology. UMNO practices communism among Malays, but it is communism nonetheless.
