Friends, I am glad to have found you, Who have added much to life’s hue. Our friendship remains in my core; It’s getting richer, more and more. The sun may rise and set each day, Friendships never set nor delay. You are there with extended hand, When I am down in troubled land. When life is covered with darkness, You light up my life with brightness. The rainbow would shed its colour, Too, life without friends, its ardour. The world will be a poorer place, A place where no happiness grace. Friends can laugh and cry together, Wherever we choose to gather. We argue till blue in the face, Yet, true friendship we still embrace. We respect our odd difference, And accept it with deference. You don’t need to always call me; We are part of shared resume. That is the measure of friendship, The base of our relationship. Friendship is a book of concern; Constantly filled in with discern. The joys that joined us so gladly, And sorrows we shared so sadly, Are a part of our unity, That will last through eternity. I am honoured most sincerely, To call you friends so honestly.
