Samy Vellu “lost his marbles” over Ishwar joining DAP

MIC President and the sole Malaysian Indian Cabinet Minister, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu seems to have “lost his marbles” (to do something senseless or stupid) making him to publicly declare “DAP telah mati”.

I don’t ordinarily watch television news but last night I caught a snippet of television news and saw Samy Vellu in a rampage against the DAP with the ultimate swear term: “DAP telah mati”.

DAP has been active, productive and vibrant for 42 years in Malaysian politics and is looking forward to the “battle of the century” in the upcoming general election. DAP will not die just because Samy Vellu wishes so.

What I am more concerned is how the longest-serving Cabinet Minister in Malaysia could so embarrass himself as to make a fool and public spectacle of himself over national television with such intemperate language and conduct.

Samy Velllu has never been under greater pressure as he is fighting for his political life.

The last straw must be Sunday’s announcement by the bearer of one of the most illustrious names in MIC history, more famous than the name of Samy Vellum, Ishwar Nahappan, joining the ranks of the DAP.

Ishwar’s parents, Athi Nahappan and Janaki, were not only founder-members of MIC, their contributions to freedom, justice and integrity are written in gold in MIC and Malaysian history. Janaki joined the Indian National Army (INA) at the age of 17 and rose to Captain and Second-in-Command of Rhani of Jhansi Regiment, the only woman’s regiment in the INA. Athi Nahappan will forever be remembered for his life-long commitment to democracy immortalized by the Athi Nahappan Report on Local Government calling for restoration of local government elections (which Samy Vellu has still to honour).

If not for the tragedy of the early demise of Athi Nahappan in 1976, a few months after being appointed as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of the law and justice portfolio (a second Indian Minister in Cabinet together with Tun V. T. Sambanthan), Malaysian Indians and Malaysia would have been spared the “tragedy” of Samy Vellu as MIC President and sole Malaysian Indian Cabinet Minister for over 28 years – presiding over the progressive political, economic, educational, social, cultural and religious polarization of the Malaysian Indians into a new underclass in Malaysia!

Samy Vellu should not “lose his marbles” over Ishwar’s denunciation that MIC under his leadership had failed the Malaysian Indians and the Malaysian nation. Many Indian leaders, including both current and former MIC leaders, have contacted and congratulated Ishwar for his bold and courageous decision to stand up for the marginalized Indians and other deprived communities.

He should respond to Ishwar’s powerful statement about the marginalisation of the Indian community under Samy Vellu’s 28-year watch as the sole Malaysian Indian Minister, viz:

– There are less than 3-4% Indians studying in the Govt Universities.

– Indians comprise less than 1% of those who were given the opportunity to study Nursing in the various Government Nursing Colleges .

– Malaysian Indians have, over a fifteen year period, comprised less than 2.5% of the annual student intake of teacher training colleges.

– Malaysian Indians have received less than 1% of all scholarships awarded by Govt and Govt-related bodies .

– Less than 1% of those training as officer cadets in Military Colleges are Indians.

– For the last 15 years, Indians have numbered less than 2% annually of those who underwent training as police officers.

– The situation in the Malaysian Civil Service is even more grim and appalling. One can walk into any Govt department and you will be hard pressed to find an Indian or Chinese in the clerical and administrative sections. For example, in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, in KL, out of 400 staff, there are only 2 Indians and 3 Chinese.

– The KTM , which was a traditional source of employment for the Indian Community , is recruiting less than 3% Indians on an annual basis.

– As of 6th Feb’08 , the total market capitalization of the KLCI was 764 Bln ringgit. I estimate the Malaysian Indian Community accounts for less than 1% of the listed Corporate wealth of the country .

Instead of losing his marbles publicly and embarrassing himself, there are two choices before Samy Vellu:

• Turn over a completely new leaf by making amends for his failures for the past 28 years to defend the right of Malaysian Indians to an equal place under the Malaysian sun, end his, MIC and Barisan Nasional’s denial complex refusing to recogise the crisis of marginalization of Malaysian Indians and immediately announce a New Deal for the Marginalised Indians to reintegrate them into the mainstream of national development and get the five Hindraf leaders released from ISA detention immediately and unconditionally; or

• Resign as MIC President and Cabinet Minister, which is the increasing demand not only within the MIC but also in UMNO and Barisan Nasional.

I certainly believe people like Ishwar who comes from a strong background can only strengthen DAP. Keep it up. It is a loss on the part of Samyvellu for losing potentials like Ishwar yet he is not realizing it..

Like all members of the den of thieves, the fear of losing power is the mother of all fears. The fear that you could be voted out, or made a scapegoat for BN’s poor performance, is enough to make Semi Value lose his marbles. He will have sleepless nights, and he will probably be sleeping with his toupee on for quite some time.

If you have been a cheat, a thief or a liar, you will always be living in fear of being found out, or being prosecuted at some point. That’s why they need to hang on to power at all costs – and the very reason why we have to try our best to deny them the power that they crave.

    Sdr. Kit Siang,
Marginalisation of Malaysian Indians is being systematically pracitised by UMNO led BN Government ever since Dr. M’s time. MIC leaders are the only ones enriching themselves with contracts being handed down to UNMO cronies in the name of Malaysian Indians. Malaysian Indians has been fooled all the while. Only now, Malaysian Indians have realized the deep shit they are in after HINDRAF’s now famous street protest end last year. Malaysian Indians should not allow themselves to be taken for granted by the UMNO led BN any longer. They should stop being the vote bank for ungrateful BN and by extension the MIC.
What you and Ishwar have listed out above is only the tip of the iceberg. I can mention another common problem faced by the 3% Malaysian Indians in Malaysian Civil Service. There is very little opportunity is given to them to progress to higher positions. Even the qualified ones are prevented from progressing.
I would like to highlight a case of a Malaysian Indian Doctor, a MBBS graduate from UM, managed to secure a place in UM to do a post graduate study in Public Health. However, the Ministry of Health has turned down his application to study on full pay. After his appeal has been turndown, this doctor who last position is that of Assistant Director, Tele-Health Division, Ministry of Health, has been on unpaid leave since mid last year doing the post graduate course on his own. Possiblity of another capable Doctor leaving the Malaysian Health Service is likely to happen if no positive action taken to provide full time pay to this doctor, which is his entilement as qualified Malaysian Civil Servant.
There are bound to be many other Malasyian Indian and Chinese in similar position through out the Government Service. What has MIC, MCA or Gerakan been doing to bring fair treatment to all in this country? Why should we vote for them now?
It is time to reduce the 2/3rd majority of the UMNO led BN Government. Enough is engough. Just vote in more opposition MPs to provide the much needed check and balalnce in the Parliamentary Democratic System we have inherted from UK. Why should BN insist they have 2/3rd majority? A simple majority is just as good to provide effective service. Opposition will be there to provide the much needed check and balance to prevent abuse as happening now.

We need a strong opposition to move forward & I truly feel “Bangsa Malaysia” is our only hope!
As for Samy Value, well, we all know how desperate he is now.
The 12th GE will be upon us soon. Allah (since I am non-Muslim can I say “Allah” without going to jail?) help Malaysia & good luck!

    Goodness will forever prevail.

i am pleased to note that Mr. Ishwar has joined Dap , and for the right purpose that is to press further that the Government has repeatedly failed to address the issue of race equality. Malaysia belongs to all Malaysians and not to any single race be it majority or minority. More so, that the numbers of indonesians have outnumbered the Malaysian of Indian descent.

i am happy that Mr. Ishwar has the courage to bend over to magnify what is the use of A PARTY THAT HAS NOT done justice to the very people it claims to represent. Let us not deny that the government has broken many human rights rules to support its ends. Our indian brothers and sisters are part of us. Lest we have forgotten, that their forefathers tapped the rubber trees and tarred the roads for the Profit of all Malaysians.

i hope that some sons and daughter of MCA and Gerakan can also find within their own conscience what the Parties have done to forge ahead of one nation one nationality.

i pray that DAP will uphold too, the very fundamentals of human rights and equal rights among all Malaysians. As there are poor malays, indians, chinese, ibans, portuguese, orang asli among us.

i careless if samy vellu has lost his marbles or whatever. it does not matters to me. i care more for my fellow indian brothers and sisters, that their primary jobs are car wash operators, and security guards. BUT than again, samy have about twenty days to make good what he did wrong in the last twenty years. THAT IS A DEATH IMPOSSIBLE TASK. SO SIAPA MATI.

finally, i hope true and credible leaders are voted in. with fairness that are good and bad in both the barisan and the opposition. i hope GOODNESS will prevail. i believe .

    Dear Sdr. Kit Siang,
What you and Ishwar has stated on the marginalisation of Malsysian Indians is only the tip of the iceberg. There are many other areas where both Malaysian Indians and Chinese are unfairly treated by the UMNO led BN Government.
One such incident is a case of a Malaysian Indian Doctor, a MBBS graduate from UM, who secured a place in UM to do a Post Graduate course in Public Health. However, his employer, the Ministry of Health did not approve his application to study with full pay as per his entitlement. This Doctor who is an Assistant Director in Tele-Health Division, Ministry of Health, decided to take unpaid leave since mid last year to do the post graduate study on his own after his appeal too is turn down.
There are bound to be many other Malaysian Indians and Chinese serving officers in the Government Service treated unfair by the UMNO led BN Government even though their numbers are already very low there.
What are MIC, MCA and Gerakan going to do to ensure fair treatment is given to all Malaysians by the Government? What has happen to Gerakan’s Bangsa Malaysia?
Enough is enough. Vote in more opposition MPs in the coming General Elections to provide the much needed check and balance. No more 2/3rd majority.

3,000 who quit MIC join PPP

PORT DICKSON: Some 3,000 former MIC members from the Teluk Kemang division here joined the PPP yesterday.

They also applied to the PPP to set up 71 new branches.

They were led by former MIC Teluk Kemang deputy chairman S. Karupusamy, who said they had left the MIC some time ago.

“Since resigning from the MIC, we were wooed by the opposition. But, we felt it was best for us to join the PPP, which is a Barisan Nasional component party,” he said, adding that the members were still strongly behind the BN and felt they could do more in a party like the PPP.

Full story of MIC history would be published soon (File is very big ; 18pgs).

For now some key highlights involving SV:-

Samy Vellu; the eldest of three children, was born in June 20, 1936 to rubber tappers Sangalimuthu and Anggamah at the Rengo Malay Estate near Kluang, Johor. His father, who had arrived from India in 1919, moved between estates in search of better wages and was working as a labourer at the coal mines in Batu Arang, Selangor when the war ended.

He and some friends formed a theatre group that staged dramas in estates and small towns. The group’s leading actors were Samy Vellu and V. Govindaraj (now Datuk V. Govindaraj). One of their earliest and most successful dramas was entitled Nattpu (Friendship).

In 1959, a year before he got married, he and Govindaraj joined the Batu Caves MIC branch as ordinary members. Samy Vellu was 23, and winning the MIC presidency was his ultimate objective. (It took him 20 years to reach the top). Five years after joining the party, he was elected Selangor MIC committee member and the head of the party’s cultural bureau.

In the early 1970s, he became the main instigator for the coup against Tun V.T Sambanthan, and then fought against the next president Manickavasagam.

On 12th October 1979, Samy Vellu’s ambition of becoming the president of MIC became a reality after Manickavasagam’s death. The new president came under considerable pressure to advance
Subramanian to the vacant seat of Port Klang that used to be Manickavasagam’s constituency. But Samy Vellu resisted the pressure and nominated his own protégé, V.Govindaraju.

Samy Vellu’s leadership soon attracted adverse comments from both within and outside the party. Internal opposition to his rule focused around S. Subramaniam, and in 1980, a major power struggle occurred between the two men. Its immediate causes lay in attempts by Samy Vellu to prevent the election of Subramaniam to the presidency of the Federal Territory MIC, then to prevent him from becoming the deputy president of MIC, and finally to deprive him of a government post by opposing his selection as candidate for Port Klang parliamentary seat.

In the contest for the Federal Territory MIC chief, Samy Vellu brought forward D.P. Vijendran as his candidate to fight against Subramaniam. However, Subramaniam fended off Vijendran’s challenge with considerable ease. In doing so, he relied considerably on the support of the Tamil Malar newspaper. The
major sections of the Indian press at this time were owned by Samy Vellu’s faction and Tamil Nesan firmly supported Samy Vellu.
In 1981, the Tamil Malar was suspended for purportedly publishing sensitive material, dealing a punishing blow to Subramaniam. The suspension of a few other Tamil news papers has become a modus operandi for Samy Vellu to silence the voice of dissent in MIC.

With regard to the position of deputy president, Samy Vellu simply refused to make an appointment until growing anger within the party boiled. There were a number of extremely stormy MIC branch meetings with the Federal Reserve Unit in attendance. Samy Vellu almost moved to sack Subramaniam. The crisis brought pressure on Samy Vellu from the Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir, for a resolution to the crisis. In October 1981, following a 20-minute talk, both came to some form of understanding and Samy Vellu accepted the elevation of Subramaniam to deputy presidency of MIC…..

    part 2 ….later

Yep, the pressure is getting to him. Ever since the day Hindraf marched, his days are numbered and he knows it. For the first time in his life, he knows he cannot win anymore so he is striking out in desperation.

As if to underscore his impotence not only politically but also in his Cabinet responsibilities, the contractors working on road projects are ignoring him. Just a couple of days ago he had made some lofty claims in JB that contractors working on road projects are responsible for a proper traffic plan to avoid massive jams. He was told of the Perling Interchange project that was creating massive jams and he promised his dept will look into it. Today, whether it was deliberately to rub his face in the sand, the contractor blocked a large section of the road for resurfacing and created a massive jam for traffic trying to exit Perling. So much for his loud mouth. Even the contractors and his JKR are showing him their middle finger. Poor Samy!!!

Perak BN worried about Lim and Hindraf

    IPOH, Tues:

Opposition leader Lim Kit Siang’s presence and issues raised by Hindraf are the two most the worrying factors for Perak Barisan Nasional in the coming general election.

Perak BN chairman and Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohd Tajol Rosli Ghazali said Lim being a veteran opposition politician was no ordinary person.

“In the last polls, he contested in Ipoh Timur and (due to his presence) we also lost Ipoh Barat. We must be extra careful especially when DAP had said that they would go all out to retain and also capture other seats.” he told reporters after chairing the state BN coordination committee meeting here on Monday.

BN lost the Ipoh Barat, Ipoh Timur and Batu Gajah parliamentary seats and the Pasir Pinji, Jelapang, Menglembu and Keranji state seats to DAP in the 2004 elections. All these seats were contested by MCA candidates. Lim is Ipoh Timur MP while DAP vice-chairman M. Kulasegaran is Ipoh Barat MP.

Tajol Rosli said the contest for these seats would be much tougher this time around as the DAP, PKR and PAS had agreed not to fight each other but take on BN in a one to one battle instead.

On Hindraf, the Perak Menteri Besar expressed confidence that the Indian community would continue to support BN although a lot of issues were raised in the last two months.

“We are facing a situation similar to the 1999 polls when BN was worried about Malay voters. We were lucky to have the support of MCA, Gerakan and MIC then.”

it is quite clear to see that over the years, semi-value did not have to defend himself so much to stay politically alive.
Most of his abysmal work especially as works minister can simply be brushed aside without much of an idiotic excuse or putting the blame on GOD (remember roof leak because it rained too much?). so that leaves his brain to be unused for far too long and we know that if you do not use your brain, it will shrink and the thinking ability diminishes. So what he will turn to is always his usual rash and critical remarks such as “DAP sudah mati”. Such a remark not only shows his lack of etiquette but it shows his inability to show his cognitive skills (if it exists in the first place) in providing a good rebut on Ishwar’s move to join DAP.
Seriously, the more he talks, the more he shows how retarded he is (no offence to actual retarded people). and in relation, it also shows how stupid the whole of MIC is by giving support to such an incapable person (or lump of gas whichever suits your description of choice).
In the end, we all can agree that Semi-Value is truely the STAR of MIC. and by STAR I mean a large gassy object that you can see from miles away.

It will be well worth for DAP strategists to check up on how John Howard (who did heaps more for Australians than Samy Velu can smell a sniff of, for Indian-Malaysians) was defeated in his seat for parallells that can be applied in Sungei Siput.

Track down the key elements of first-time-candidate (albeit recognisable TV name) Maxine McKew’s strategy in having John Howard lose his seat.

Some suggestions (not knowing all the latest party strategy details):-

    1) Yes, it would be good strategy to have either Dr Jeyakumar or one of the Hindraf 5 take on Samy Vellu. If Dr Jeyakumar runs on the PKR ticket as he did in 2004, DAP should let PKR have the seat and use the Hindraf 5 in another DAP seat, while helping PKR/PSM win against Samy Velu.

It should be possible to mobilise enough Indian-Malaysians with metal (who rightly despise Samy Velu) from all over the country to laser onto making it a victory. Form a “Farewell Samy Velu & Welcome Indian-Malaysian Renaissance” campaign team.

    2) I hear that the Sungei Siput constituency has a rather significant Orang Asli population (maybe up to 11%?) who have been regularly dished out goodies to be anchor supporters of Samy Velu. A strategy (perhaps a national strategy for Orang Asli rights with synergy between Orang Asli and Indian-Malaysians might do part of the trick).

    3) Study how Maxine McKew carefully targetted the preachable niches in the ‘preached, preachable, unpreachable’ (eg in their case, the Asian votes and the Gladesville elite votes) continuum in the Bennelong constituency. Work out parallels.

WHO WANTS TO BET WITH ME?

WHO WOULD YOU THINK WILL DIE FIRST?

    SAMY VALUE OR DAP?

  41. #41 by logic on Tuesday, 12 February 2008 - 8:39 pm

The right to vie for the votes and permission to serve rightly belongs to everyone. Datuk Samy Velu is no exception. The DAP has as much right to vie for the right to represent the electorate. After the sole purpose of elections are for the government to be that of the people; by the people and FOR the people. There is no divine right to rule or be elected. Many forget that the policiticians merely dictate policy, the civil service and the administrative service ultimately carry out these broad directives. Therefore to say that the opposition has no experience is wholly erroneous and misleading. All over Asia we have seen opposition occassionally win in the elections and no doomsday prohecy has happened. India, the states in India, Phillipines, Thailand, and even Indonesia have experienced dual polar governments. It is therefore only proper that the ruling BN focuses on specific issues to win votes and allow the opposition its legitimate right to similarly do so. It is ultimately for the voters to decide. Seen in this context one notes the deafening silence by Samy Vellu in not responding to the suggestion by none other than the former Prime Minister Tun Mahathir about whether MIC has delivered to the people. Also one notes the total lack of response to the very specific issue raised by the scion of the late former MIC stalwart, the Rt.Hon. Tan Sri Athi Nahappan. It is not enough to monotonously repeat how much one has done. One has to explain the stated issues of the deceleration of the interests of the Indian Community whilst Samy Vellu was at the leadership. To suggest a party needs to reinvent suggests prior failure!! MIC is more than 50 years old. Why does it need to reinvent itself? It is because the issues now raised by Ishwar Nahappan are real and issues presently deeply felt by the Malaysians especially of the Indian community. It is very much a matter of concern that the scion of such an illustrous stalwart like the late Tan Sri Athi Nahappan has deemed it proper to contribute as a citizen through the DAP. A matter of concern not for anything else but that even he has rejected MIC has a platform. This is not a light matter nor something to be winked away. Firstly it is laudable in that is shows DAP as being a genuine platform for Malaysians with unresolved grievances. Secondly it shows DAP as the true voice of the people. Remember it was “people power” that shooed away Marcos much to disbelief. Thirdly and most importantly Ishwar has obviously seemed to reject MIC in its present state. What more about Indians of humble and simple heritage? It is noteworthy that MIC keeps referring to the so called past records. But it is the present and the future that is at stake in the coming elections. It was once said ‘power coruppts and absolute power coruppts absolutely” No suggestion is made in this regard. But the exclaimations of “DAP telah mati” by the eminent statesman does not auger positively. No community is so poor or so bereft of dignity that it needs to be talked down to so that leaders maintain their mandate. The statesman is a servant of the people whom he purports to represent. To the Indian community the recent comments and remarks ( albeit sometimes uncharitable) by their erstwhile leaders is a wake up call. Are u prepared for change? This is the 21st century! Wake up! Ishwar joining DAP must not be a normal event. It is a clear signal that the time has come for change! This is the time for change. The MIC is a mere party; its people were what made it formidable. The writing is clear on the wall. Close your ears to stories and poetry, make the changes that are necessary. This is about your lives and future generations. It is not a saga of the retaining of a leader who has passed his time as many state is obvious; it is about the future direction of the community and Malaysians. DAP and the Opposition are true Malaysians. It is a foolhardy exclaimation to say DAP is dead!. Long live common sense

That’s what unbridled power does to you. You become accustomed to power but then when the time comes for you to let go of it, you move into a locked-down mode believing that the threat to your power is external when it is not, believing you are indispensable and that your ‘supporters’ need you when your ‘supporters’ no longer do. The denial syndrome is a defense mechanism.

This then gives way to another phase – “losing your marbles” phase! Which is actually a cry of desperation.

  44. #44 by limkamput on Tuesday, 12 February 2008 - 9:24 pm

All of us here agreed Samy is desperate. But how are we going to handle the loads of goodies and surprises that are likely to come up just before and during the campaign period? Seriously I still view those goodies and promises as the biggest threats. How the oppositions are going to counter these goodies and promises and how can we help? Just look at the low cost houses being handed out at Lembah Pantai tonight. We need more concrete strategies at this stage now.

  45. #45 by logic on Tuesday, 12 February 2008 - 9:29 pm

This election is about fundamental rights. This election is more than about some goodies or holidays. Value your rights and vote for your representatives wisely. Samy Vellu must repond to the specific issue: Why must the Indian community have waited 26 years to reinvent itself? Is that a brazen admission of the failure or inability of MIC to have looked after the legitimate interests of the Indian Community?

  46. #46 by Loh on Tuesday, 12 February 2008 - 9:34 pm

“Just look at the low cost houses being handed out at Lembah Pantai tonight”

I’m looking and I’m looking, as they say! Clearly you’re suggesting that the political loyalty of Indians in Malaysia is measured in terms of the price of a low cost house. How insulting it must be to the Indians reading your comments here, particularly those who receive handouts given to them but would go on to vote for the opposition.

Would that be tantamount to slapping the hand that feeds you? Not if there are other hands ready to do more than feed you only when you cry out.

The smart ones take the goodies and vote the Opposition. We have to tell them to do it as the goodies are from the taxpayers anyway.

The trick is to run an extensive poster campaign in Sg Siput advising all voters to accept the goodies, not to reject them. Then they will have the best of both worlds when they vote the Opposition.

I am sure the people here have no problem of seeing the folly of Samy Vellu, MIC and also other component parties of BN. I just wish that people out there are seeing and thinking alike. Do we have a strategy to counter all these goodies which had worked well for BN in the past? May be this time is different, some may say. But I also heard this before in the past.

It is not Samy vellu alone that had contributed to the present predicament of Indians. It is also we, the people that have continued to be suckers for the last few decades because the strategy of hoodwinking voters has worked. So all these scolding and release of tension is one thing, ultimately we still have to get the message out on how to ensure that the people are not trapped into voting for BN again. That is what I was trying to say.

For the voters who are getting any number of gifts from leasehold land to replacement houses over squatters… this is what I have to say to you – if you think about your own pockets, you’re causing greater harm to yourself and your children and your children’s children than you can possible imagine.

BN is making a lot of promises right now, but I can bet you some won’t be delivered after elections. It’s also bribery, so you are complicit in a criminal offence if the gift sways your vote.

Take the gift for what it’s worth before the elections, but don’t vote BN on account of receiving the gift because it’s taxpayer’s gift to you, not BN’s.

Vote with your conscience. Your vote, even if it is only a vote, matters for all Malaysians.

    Pop Quiz time on politics..
Where in the democratic world, can you find a party leader that cannot be challenged for fear of breaking party-unity?
Only in Bolehland formerly known as M’sia, where, which party?
    UMNO,MIC,MCA & Gerakan..
The worst of all despite all the blunders this one man has caused billions in wastage of tax-payers hard-earned money, & he’s still around after 30years, Mr. Sammy Vellu, why or how can such a person despite all the scandals & proven corrupt practices still be a minister, can only be possible under an equally if not worse party, UMNO. Another quiz, can anyone out there tell me what this man, once an office-boy with std6 qualification, have contribute in his lifetime to the country, nil, to the party, nil, to Sg Siput area,
nil,to his family, not nil but mil(-lions) of black money, our toll money paid for maintaining roads instead ended up in UMNO 90% & the rest to not, MIC party but ‘The One MIC-man’. So why is he still around, b’coz Sg. Siput voters put him there, why they did so is anybody’s guess. The list of wrong-doings of this one man from Maika scandal, PLUS/LDP Toll scandals, to N-S highway collapse to Kepong H/way crack-bridge to parliament ceiling collapse isssue, & he’s still standing, where in this world have such blind-voters, I can only shake my head in disbelieve if in this election SV is still elected to power, then I think they deserve to be where they are now, backward, impoverished & only have high hopes ‘things’ will get better, like Hokkien say Tan ku-ku, wait long2 lah fren….
I say put Jayakumar in DAP & finish this ‘Mother of all Corrupt’ man
once & for all, he should be behind bars not staying in a palace wearing RM3000 Zegna suits, even Ananda Krishna self-made millionaire don’t use those, why should he, because Sg. Siput
voters says he can mah, what a bunch of morons…..

Limkamput, as usual insults the intelligence of all Indians without even knowing it. He implies that Indians would be taken in by what he calls “goodies” which include holiday travels etc. Indians today know better. They may accept BN handouts of “goodies” as he puts it, but there is nothing to force them to cast their votes for the opposition.

Take away support for MCA, MIC and other smaller BN component parties by telling them their basic rights under the Constitution and the absolute truth, BN will fall apart by itself.

Many Malays are not happy with the way the country is run…..UMNO will not hold on to power without the support of other races, the present and past PMs are fully awared of it.

It is long overdue for a change in the best interest of the country with the ultimate aim to protect the unique culture and traditions of bumi and their way of life for the benefit of generations to come.

Honestly, I believe AAB have to approved SV to re-seat for his parliament constitution in Sg Siput as he knew too much and rich enough to ensure his own winning in that seat.
Sg Siput voters are very basic wage-earner that does felt ‘obligated’ to vote for SV due to largely ‘token’ they were given from time to time through their livinghood.
Their ‘contact point’ are normally very resourceful to assist them at the minimum to keep their daily survival taks manageable.
It’s a form of brainwash which have been embedded to all these voters eversince from young.
With the assistance from external forces which brought in for each GE, SV team will make sure that voters are clearly ‘reminded’ to cast correctly.
We have to study these form of impact way back those days before we can this close to think that we can wipe SV out. Even BN also don’t dare to challenge him for these points.

    SemiVelu Wind

Ever since the days of old,
Men would search for power untold.
They’d bribe with silver and gold,
And leave the rakyat feeling cold.
And way up north in Sugai Siput,
Where the black water rolls and the tall lallang sways.
The eagles fly and the otters play,
    In the constituency of SemiVelu.

So pray, pray SemiVelu will not win again,
Pray like you’re never gonna pray again.
I’m calling to you like a long lost friend,
But I know who you are.
And pay and pay for shrinking roti chanai,
All the way up to Chennai.
Where many homes were bought by SemiVelu,
    The sharks and the buaya.

Progress came and we’re burdened with toll,
And in the name of traffic control.
They made their plans and they drained our pockets,
Now the people are going to cry.
And the last time I walked in the swamp,
I sat upon a rubber stump,
I listened close and I heard the ghost,
    Of Kalimuthu cry.

So pray, pray SemiVelu will not win again,
Pray like you’re never gonna pray again.
I’m calling to you like a long lost friend,
But I know who you are.
