In the screech of an accident,
A flame dies in this incident.
This great flame is called Karpal Singh,
Justice for people, he would sing.
His song will live eternally;
People’s right will triumph finally.
His death is the nation’s great loss,
Ere democracy becomes boss:
His hopes end not in apathy,
But gain in strength in empathy.
His legacy will rouse our flame,
To achieve justice in his name.
The Tiger has ended his roar,
But his deeds live on in our lore.
May his soul rest in deserved peace,
By his God’s side, mightily pleased.
