Mahathir should end his game of mischief in trying to demonise Pakatan Rakyat parties and incite racial hatred and conflict

The Malaysian Insider today reported a column in Utusan Malaysia by Tun Dr. Mahathir showing that the former Prime Minister is still up to his game of mischief to demonise Pakatan Rakyat parties and incite racial hatred and conflict in the country.

Mahathir said PAS will never lead Malaysia and even if Pakatan Rakyat captures Putrajaya it will be a junior partner and a DAP puppet.

Before the 13GE, DAP was accused of being a PAS puppet among the Chinese and non-Malay voters while PAS was accused of being a DAP puppet among Malay voters.

It would appear that UMNO/BN leaders and propagandists want Malaysian voters to believe that DAP is puppet to PAS, while PAS is puppet to DAP – thinking that Malaysians can be easily fooled into believing that DAP could be puppet to PAS and PAS puppet to DAP!

This is of course utter nonsense, for DAP is no puppet of PAS just as PAS is no puppet of DAP. Just because UMNO can make the other Barisan Nasional parties its puppet does not mean that this is the operating principle in Pakatan Rakyat as well.

In his column, Mahathir said that PAS had never had any big wins in the general elections, which is another baseless and mischievious propaganda.

In actual fact, PAS scored its biggest win in the 1999 general elections when the Barisan Alternative was formed, as PAS won 27 parliamentary seats as against 10 by DAP and five by PKR. As a result, the PAS President Fadzil Noor was appointed the Parliamentary Opposition Leader.

At the state level, PAS retained the Kelantan State Government and won the Trengganu State Government – another big win by PAS. Countrywide PAS won 98 State Assembly seats as compared to 11 for DAP and 4 for PKR.

I would advise Mahathir to stop his game of mischief with lies and falsehoods to demonise the Pakatan Rakyat parties and to incite racial hatred and conflict.

Mahathir betrays his own REAL OPINION spinning lies rather than actually discussing the real weakness of PR. The truth for PR to rule, is not easy matter – its should be MUCH SIMPLER for UMNO/BN to do it and in fact it has been so much simpler for them – YET they are literally losing their hold on power.

Mahathir pushing the buttons of lies and spin shows HE HAS VERY VERY LOW OPINION OF MALAYS – that is why he pushes lies and sensationalism rather than discussing things truthfully and real – he think the Malays are INCAPABLE OF GRASPING REAL SUBSTANCE – and not only that he likely think UMNO IS BEYOND REFORM OR THEY AR ENTITLED TO THEIR CORRUPTION AND ABUSE OF POWER.

If Mahathir think UMNO/BN is hopeless by his voicing spin and lies, WHY DO ANYONE ELSE THINK THEY ARE OF ANY HOPE???

One more thing – Mahathir is just joining in the effort of talk of “Muzakarah” and uniting UMNO and PAS – likely re-triggered by Najib & his co-horts.

Logically speaking it makes absolutely NO SENSE for PAS to merge with UMNO. The way to think about it is – ask most real Republican in the US that if they had a choice today – would they want the Tea Party to be part of Republican Party? UMNO is our Tea Party in this country while PAS is now the true-blue equivalent of original Republicans in the US. The Tea Party is destroying the Republican party, why would PAS seek to infect themselves with the same disease by combining with UMNO? Nik Aziz is absolutely right on this.

The truth is an UMNO-PAS merger would destroy PAS and this country. IT CANNOT BE THE OTHER WAY. Its a sophisticated idea and UMNO is betting that PAS don’t get it. That is what they really think of PAS..

Mahathir think UMNO is hopeless to reform. Why would ANYONE ESPECIALLY IN PAS think they could do it?

The truth is if UMNO/BN really believe in reform – they would merge with DAP first and foremost. UMNO only need to give up corruption and abuse of power – it does not even have to give up its what is suppose to be their ultimate altruistic Ketuanan by merit goal. The fact that UMNO and Najib & Co keep hacking away at PAS – shows that they are simply not concern with real reform but rather easy politics that has led them to their current sad depravity. Merger with PAS, is simply just one more road down that depravity – all PAS will get is Islamic state but with UMNO/BN abuses that will be their nightmare completely opposite to their dreams..

Here is another way to respond to Mahathir – If PAS can end up as Puppet of DAP, its EVEN MORE LIKELY, PAS will end up puppet of UMNO. In fact, its absolutely CERTAIN – creating a worst version of Islamic State PAS can possibly even have nightmares about..
