The Tsunami

The Tsunami

GE13 has come and gone,
But the racists still drone and drone…..
This event brings forth a huge storm
Of righteous passion, pure and strong.
Despite the whirlpool of dark threats,
May 5 shows the Malaysians great.
They flocked to attend the address,
Defying vile threats of unrest.
They even braved the falling rain,
And their support was not in vain.
They dare give life to a just cause,
Sometimes, at a rather great cost.
They are the real, unnamed heroes,
Who want a better tomorrow.
From north to south, and east to west,
They come in thousands to attest
Their right to a true Malaysia,
Full of fairness and ambrosia;
Not one rented with racism,
Not one fouled with cronyism.
They abhor discrimination,
And those nefarious corruption.
Though they were robbed of their great dream,
In the face of crude, racist scream.
They inspire the tsunami
Of righteousness, not enmity.
The tsunami springs from their heart,
In protest of politics’ black art.
That tsunami embraces all
Malaysians who choose to walk tall.
Right thinking Chinese and Malays,
Indians and Kadazans, relay
To carry the torch of freedom,
Convinced of a moral wisdom.
This tsunami of majority,
Suffused with bright mentality,
Is still growing ever bigger,
Bonding unity ever stronger.
When despair goes, and faith returns,
Bad government will fall in turn,
Swept out by people’s tsunami,
Formed by those ordinary ‘me’.
With truth, justice as homily,
They join force as a family,
To march towards Putrajaya.
They will be there till berjaya!

Tsunami, a poor choice of term. has all kinds of negative connotations.
Maybe “Great Malaysian awakening”, may be a better term.

When we went for GE 13, we were all more than aware of the GE 13 systemic frauds. In this, I include Gerrymeandering, Phantoms and illegals, and the early voters. We knew that we will have to fight against that, and a high voter turnout was our strategy. I believed that we achieved that, and achieved it well.
Perhaps what we underestimated on 5th May, was the frauds done on 5th May. That is why we called it a robbery, because, it all happened on 5th May. We are now awaiting a compilation of all the evidence, to see how damning it will be. If internet reports are to be believed, there should be “smoking gun” evidence from Tapah and Lembah Pantai.
Yes we were robbed. Lets us see the evidence soon, and know how this minority government stole GE 13 from the people of Malaysia.

For now, let us not call it a Tsunami. There is a “Great Malaysian awakening” and may it continue until justice is restored to Malaysia.

Maybe the real tsunami that will change the political hegemony of UMNO for next 5 years is not just “Great Malaysian awakening” but this along with a real Economic tsunami.

suggest you break up your poem to encourage more to read it.

Putting it all in one block impedes reading….
