PUCHONG, Aug 6 — The MCA has no right to denounce the DAP over its purported silence on the state religious Islamic authorities’ raid on a church as the Chinese party has been powerless when non-Muslims’ rights are threatened, Teresa Kok said today.

The Selangor DAP chief pointed out that her party has expressed its “dissatisfaction” with the Selangor Islamic Religious Department’s (Jais) Wednesday late-night raid on Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC).

“MCA is a party that is least qualified to talk about political courage,” Kok told reporters today.

“Umno has done so much nonsense against MCA and the non-Malay community, yet MCA still sticks as Umno’s partner,” added the Seputeh MP.

The Star reported today MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek challenging the DAP to show political courage by condemning the raid.

Kok said, however, that the MCA banned its members from joining the July 9 Bersih 2.0 rally after the polls watchdog was outlawed, despite knowing that people were unhappy with the “unfair” electoral system.

“Whatever Umno announces, they just support and follow all the way,” she said.

Kok also pointed out that DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang has decried the Jais raid and called it “deplorable”.

Jais enforcement officers swooped in on a dinner function at DUMC late Wednesday night without a warrant based on an unspecified complaint, bringing with them a team of policemen.

Between 100 and 120 people, including several Muslims, attended the non-religious event to celebrate NGO Harapan Komuniti’s success in helping women, children, HIV/AIDS sufferers and victims of natural disasters.

Kok stressed that she opposed the raid, repeating her remarks — which she made before the Selangor government issued a gag order on state executive councillors — that were reported in Chinese newspaper Sin Chew Daily today.

“Jais shouldn’t just raid non-Muslim places of worship because this is a violation of freedom of assembly and freedom of belief,” said the senior state executive councillor.

She also lambasted her colleague, Datuk Hasan Ali, for defending the raid. “He shouldn’t have issued a statement defending Jais that contravened the state government’s stand,” said Kok, as quoted in Sin Chew Daily.

Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said on Thursday that he regretted the incident and asked Jais to justify its raid.

When a party is Bankrupt of useful issues they will jump on ANY issue created by Nimcompoops. People can get carried away with issues that should have been done ina more appropriate manner. Parties concerned should be aware of people’s mind-set in doing things that are easily misintepreted by all kins of people who wanted a piece of the show in this country just to get into the limelight! In the case of MCA; I would say: You have NO RIGHTS to comment on ANY ISSUE as it has been proven time and again that it is currently a party led by CROOKS in every sense of the word. You have no creditability among the Community you claimed that you respresented! Suggest that you all spend time with your LLS and help him to lead all the crooks involved to stay at Kamunting. You have so little time left to do something good for your souls, otherwise this opportunity will NEVER come again as by the next GE, we won’t be able to see or hear you all.

Look closely at both CSL’s and Hassan’s faces— they are both twins separated at birth! Like tweedledee and tweedledum!

Look at what happened to Mubarak of Egypt.
While in power, he can do what he wants.
But once out of power, the very people who he thinks
would be on his side, very quickly put him on trial in a
    CAGE.
The same fate would befall those who mess up this country

Theresa Kok sure knows how to treat beggars pretending to represent the Chinese community.
No matter what Chua Soi Lek says does…no decent Malaysian Chinese listen and trust him.
The thickest skin of all MCA Presidents..Chua Soi Lek feel not one bit of shame at all.
How to describe such a man who is a shameless fella …who dares to judge others?
The worst scum of the Earth that bring shame his own race…..feeling no shame at all?
What makes a person to stoop so low and be like that?
I guess the title “MCA President” makes him feel ten feet tall….when all Malaysian Chinese knows he is reduced to a midget to be a slave to UMNO B.
Mark my word…when 13th GE comes..he and his goons will be thrown out for sure.

MCA is submerged and has not a shred of the moral high ground to say anything at all about the non-Malay community; either to speak for them or to speak to them.

MCA is Chinese only in name but has not a shred of humnaity or conscience; after all, everything or almost everything MCA does or did in the past have been largely for the benefit of the MCA top brass. Ask Ling Liong Sik, Lee San Choon, Lee Kim Sai etc. etc. cetc

Someone is just out for cheap publicity. No matter what he does, what he says and what he promises, we WILL NOT VOTE MCA.
