BUTTERWORTH: DAP has demanded that police reveal the outcome of their investigation into an alleged conspiracy to make Christianity the official religion of Malaysia.
Penang DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow said police wrapped up the investigation some time ago and should have informed the public what they had found out.
The seriousness of the allegation and the uproar it caused warranted the public disclosure, he added.
The allegation surfaced on the Internet early last May and went largely unnoticed until Utusan Malaysia reported it on its front page under the headline “Malaysia a Christian nation?”
The Umno-owned daily alleged that Christians at a closed-door gathering in Penang had spoken about Christianity replacing Islam as the official religion and the possibility of Malaysia being led by a Christian prime minister.
Christian leaders denied the allegation, but pro-Umno groups, including the far right Perkasa, lodged police reports demanding an investigation into what they alleged was a threat to Islam.
Jelutong MP and DAP member Jeff Ooi, who said he was at the gathering, also lodged a police report, stating that the report was a fabrication.
However, the controversy took a surprising turn when Mohamed Razali Abdul Rahman, another DAP member who said he too was at the meeting, lodged another report, claiming that there was some truth to the allegation.
DAP subsequently expelled Razali for refusing to clarify his stand and for working against the party’s interest.
Razali captured public attention again yesterday when he submitted an application to join Perkasa, accusing DAP of being a Chinese chauvinist party with an agenda to sideline the Malays. He said he would expose the party secrets.
Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa, a prominent PAS leader in Penang, said he doubted that Razali would create political ripples in Penang.
He described him as someone with a dubious background, noting that he quit Umno to join PKR and then quit that party to join DAP.

Varsity intake,meritocracy system or quot system
Many top achievers become victims of the little
napoleon in UPU,Unit Pusat Universiti responsible for the intake every year.
After the application results for university intake was announced on 15th July 2011,some jumped with joys and cheers for getting their preference choices while they are too disappointed over the unfair selections.
Applicants come to know their friends’s results through sharing and hearsay
To my surprise many of those who were not offered with their first choices are Chinese ,PNGK 4 scorers either from Matriculation or STPM.
They come to know that many of their bumi friends with just PNGK 3.8 0r 3.7 were offered critical courses like medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.
Is it a system of Meritocracy or Kulitocracy practised by UPU ?
Hopefully YB Lim can kindly share this piece of news with the public in the press

Perhaps YB Lim can advise and push the govt to admit all top scorers with PNGK 4 of their preference choices or 1st choice in order to avoid further brain drain.
With this bias and unfair selection system and admitting the mediocre students ,no wonder UM ranking slided by 27 notches from 180 in 2009 to 207 in 2010.

If the police wants something done to frighten an organisation or bring a certain kind of fear they inform Utusan Melay to write about it so that they will institute an action to investigate.This kind of game had been played by the police and the Utusan melayu for sometime.This is mainly to frighten the non Malays.This tactic had been well grounded that the police had hidden or forgotten to reveal but now with the internet the same game cannot be played.The police intelligent is currently thinking as to how to play the new game.Hishammudinn is well aware but he knows the police are stupid most of the time that their intelligent unit had failed to live up to the expectation.This is why the Christians taking over the country and replacing islam did not buy as people were already aware of the foolishness of the police.This is one reason why the police are silent.Even in the case of Jayakumar the police had blundered over the case that the document to say that he is a Communist sympathiser could not be made as it is very difficult to bring such evidence to the fore.In many drug cases the police had put drugs on the person concerned to build up a case.Nowadays such cheap tactics cannot be built because the police itself is already

They can’t find any evidence lah….so they just keep quiet and hope that it will go away, and swept under the carpet. They have no evidence against the PSM 6 either, so they just keep them detained, and hope that one of them breaks, and “confesses” to the imaginary crime.
You see, these people are not that smart. For years they have depended on laws like the ISA and the EO to detain people they want to detain. They have no evidence, but since when has evidence been the determining factor in getting rid of the Opposition ?

If they reveal there is no evidence the police will have to charge Utusan and Perkasa since the police and the Home Minister have threatened to charge all those people who made those reports over Bersih 2 which they claim are false.
