    Pancreas cancer vaccine trialled:

A trial has begun on a vaccine treating pancreatic cancer, which has the lowest survival rate of all common cancers.

More than 1,000 patients with advanced pancreatic cancer have joined the TeloVac trial at 53 UK hospitals.

Prof Hanafiah: Head of Vascular Team of Surgery Dept (Consultant)
Prof Bong: Head of Hepatobiliary Team of Surgery Dept (Consultant)

This really would have been an important operation with the involvement of 2 such consultants. (Of course, there are always risks in any surgery, but they would discuss with the patients on the risks and complications while trying their best to help the patient – of course, with their expertise and training overseas, it helps a lot)

Both of them are not just talented but they are also willing to come back after receiving training overseas, unlike a lot of so called “braindrain” who shirked any duty or responsibility after receiving scholarships/subsidies which originate from rakyat’s hard earned money. They should be commended for their patriotism.
