Wind of Change blowing strong and hard in Sarawak –Sarawakians should write “416” in golden letters on Saturday as latest addition to the political lexicon of numbers of “520”, “308” and ”516” as powerful symbols in the quest for political change in Malaysia

The wind of change is blowing strong and hard in Sarawak. In Kuching, Sibu, Bintangor, Sarikei, Bintulu and particularly Miri as well as all over the state, there can be no mistaking the deep and powerful yearning of the Sarawakians for political change.

I am particularly impressed by the awakening of the people of Miri, who after allowing Kuching and Sibu to lead political change in the past few decades, seemed to have galloped, almost overnight, to the very forefront to join and lead the quest for political change not only in Sarawak but also Malaysia.

I call on the voters of Sarawak on Saturday to write “416” in golden letters as the latest addition to the political lexicon of numbers as powerful symbols in the quest for political change in Sarawak and Malaysia.

Let Saturday, April 16, go down in Sarawak and Malaysian history as another major milestone in the battle to establish “People’s Power” and reclaim the birthright of all Sarawakians and Malaysians to be full, equal and free citizens of this land entitled to all the fundamental rights promised when this nation was founded and enshrined in the constitution, including freedom of religion, rule of law, human rights, good governance, high quality of life and a just and prosperous society!

The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak has also turned the Sarawak state general election into a national general election by “closing down” Putrajaya for six days and directed his entire Cabinet to plunge into the election campaign in Sarawak.

Polling day on April 16 has therefore become not only an inquest into the 30-year rule of Peh Moh in Sarawak but Najib’s two-year Prime Ministership.

This is why MCA led by its President Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek and Gerakan’s Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon are in Sarawak to try to “save” Tan Sri Dr. George Chan and the other SUPP leaders – not for the sake of SUPP or Taib but for the sake of UMNO and Najib!

I can sense the outrage of SUPP founders and old members who in the fifties, sixties and seventies had utter contempt for MCA and Gerakan leaders and principles – but now George Chan and his 2011 band of SUPP leaders hope to be “saved” by MCA’s Chua Soi Lek and Gerakan’s Koh Tsu Koon when these two leaders cannot save their own parties in Peninsular Malaysia!

Let Sarawak voters write “416” in golden letters to join the trio of “520” (the Sarawak general elections on 20th May 2006 which administered the first shock to Taib), “308” (the political tsunami of March 8, 2008 general elections building on “520”), “516” (the May 16, 2010 Sibu by-election) to form the political lexicon of the quartet of numbers in the quest for political change in Malaysia – 520, 308, 515 and 416!

If on April 16, the voters of Sarawak vote in clear and unequivocal terms for Peh Moh to go (dismissing in contempt his promise to step down as Chief Minister in “a few years”), and signifying to Najib that his signature 1Malaysia policy is a sham degenerating into a “1 T-shirt, 1Tupperware” circus, then “416” will presage a greater Malaysian political tsunami in the 13th national elections where more states could fall to Pakatan Rakyat – and even the Putrajaya seat of federal power.

    “416”
    Die in one roll!
    That’s what in chinese pronuntiation.
Specially picked by Taik ( Taib ) in such occasion.
Was wondering whether his bomoh will chop him into one roll later?

Time for Coming of Age for Sarawak.

Sarawak now has to get rid of the yoke that had enslaved itself to the white haired menace for decades. And more importantly, the eventual breaking of the BN conveniently assumed ‘piggy bank’ come this GE13.

Yes it ain’t over until the fat lady sings or the last votes are casted.
The PM and his Cabinet have shown that they do not understand their roles as official government leaders and have disgraced the Office of the Prime Minister.
I hope the voters in Sarawak teach them that lesson.

Take whatever goodies they are offering. Tins of milo or cookies, angpows, t-shirts, bicycles, sewing machines, handphones. Take them, and smile. Then vote Pakatan.

When they come to town to repair the roads, or put up new electricity poles, smile and give them the thumbs up. Then vote Pakatan.

What they are giving you is OUR money. We want OUR money in OUR pockets, not in their pockets. Vote them out, these bunch of spineless and shameless clowns.

Chua Soiled Lek is now in Sarawak campaigning for George Chan. Common thread is both have long term girlfriends, except that Chan has yet to be made a DVD star. Chan is probably consoling Chua that even though the latter’s girlfriend had to go into hiding after the release of the DVD, Chua is now regarded as a big porn star in Sarawak.

Arrogant to the core he will only step down as CM after a few years when the election process is still not over. The farting old man thinks the CM post is for him to keep forever.

The PM simply has no cow sense. For example, announcing special tax rate for those working in Iskandar Region and now to lure Malaysians working abroad back to Malaysia. Who does he think Malaysians currently working here in Malaysia are – pariahs? You are not competent to be PM and Finance Minister. You don’t know how the market economy work – all of you are rent seekers and rate collectors of the past era.

Then we has this idiot Ah Ha, the MOT Minister who said Chinese in Sarawak are still okay – they can still be mayor and district officers. See the no brainer talking. It is precisely mentality like this which has led to the total marginalisation of Chinese community in the whole country. We are not against any particular race or community. Let those who are competent, capable and able to create value do the job. Race and religion have nothing to do with it, got it or not Ah Ha chai. You don’t even know you are subservient and behaving like a typical beggar.

Pek Moh has gathered a wealth which would have eradicated poverty in Sarawak had that been shared among Sarawakians. The only way to share it is to make Pek Moh cough out his money which rightly belong to Sarawakians. Only a change of government in Putrajaya can do it. To do that, the first step is removing BN in Sarawak.

BN has been in power for all the time Sarawak has been part of Malaysia. Najib cannot delivere what he promised as seen in his reversal of NEM. Even if Najib is sincere he cannot be expected to do the right thing for Sarawak. Is Najib sincere?

The Sarawakians will now start the ball rolling by voting out the shameless and corrupted 50 + years old regime and then come the 13 GE the people power all over the country will sweep all the scumbags nurtured and fattened by the same and useless regime into the biggest ever ‘tong sampah’ in the history of Malaysia.

To all the Christians in Sarawak, let us remind ourselves and rethink carefully as to why we should reject BN and Taib Mahmud entirely on 16 April and how Taib Mahmud cannot longer act as the ‘protector lord’ of Sarawak.

    1. In the beginning of 2010, we saw a series of attacks on churches in West Malaysia following the court ruling that allowed the word ‘Allah’ to be used in Malay version of Bible, which has been widely used in East Malaysia anyway before Malaysia has even existed. At the end of 2010, we saw how the Najib’s assistant ordered the church that Najib was supposed to be attending for a Christmas celebration, to ‘hide’ all the crosses inside the church, to ‘not say’ a prayer, (no cross and prayers in a church?) and to ‘not sing’ any christian hymns (no singing for a Christmas celebration?) at all while Najib is there.
In 2011, we saw how the Bibles are being held in customs and being restricted and dishonored by stamping and coding by the BN adminstration. Of course, throughout the whole 2010 and 2011, there are slurs and attempts by the extremists, spearheaded by UMNO along with PERKASA and the extremist mouthpiece Utusan, to belittle and marginalize our faiths. We can’t help but to wonder, in this nation that practices religious freedom, why do we have to stay in fear and receive attacks or belittlement treatment while we believe in our respective faiths?

    2. Religions and faiths are a universal thing. If this can happen in West Malaysia and any churches, it won’t take long that it will happen to anyone of us that have our own faiths. Do we not feel shaken or concerned after reading about all those news? Now, as a leader of Sarawak, which has a significant number of Christians, and supposingly the ‘stopper’ or the ‘protector lord’ of Sarawak from the influence UMNO, did the CM of Sarawak Taib Mahmud, say anything on these issues that have shaken our faiths? Not a single murmur. Did he, as the ‘barrier against influence of UMNO’, face off with Najib or UMNO in the west, to protect the rights of having our own faiths, without fear and restriction? What has he done really to be deemed as the ‘protector’ of Sarawak? UMNO might be have not set foot in Sarawak physically, but the INFLUENCE of UMNO is certainly there, and big influence indeed, that ‘the puppet protector’ Taib can’t even comment on, let alone stop UMNO wrongdoings and just follow exactly what UMNO wants him to do. With this, we can certainly say that Taib Mahmud can no longer be the ‘protector’ of Sarawak from the might and mischief of UMNO. Indeed, no other parties in BN can. And it makes no difference whether or not UMNO has set foot physically in Sarawak because the extremists views and wrongdoings of UMNO have already affected us in Sarawak. We have been shafted.

    3. Najib has certainly failed us on his ‘1Malaysia’ rhetorics, given that we cannot even practice our faiths freely and without fear. Taib Mahmud cannot be the protector of Sarawak. Who can we trust and who can be the protector? The answer is pretty simple, you don’t have to look far, the absolute protector or our faiths and nation and the one who holds the absolute power, is luckily YOU! And YOU, represent the whole Malaysia to show Najib/Taib/BN who’s the boss! Let’s reject BN/Taib/Najib once and for all and let’s not buy into their rhetorics or excuses or lies anymore! Enough is enough!

PR does not have enough seats especially from the interior.

Latest I hear, optimistically speaking, PR 25 BN 46. Pessimistic PR 17 BN 54.

But many seats hard to tell because of multi-cornered fights.

When Dr. George Chan loses on 16 April, he can certainly blame it on CSL and KTK. CSL and KTK have to be told by Chinese in Sarawak that they are simply useless. The presence in BN allows UMNO to keep racial politics alive in Malaysia. If MCA had defended the right of Chinese, then NEP could not have gone beyond 1990. They should have left BN then when UMNO did not keep its promise. If Gerakan really is multiracial there were less than one percent non-Chinese in the party. The leaders of these two parties stay in BN for their own wealth creation only, at the expense of non-Malays, to give UMNO window-dressing effect. These Han Jian.

Too many multi-cornered fights in Sarawak. umno may use this tactic by bankrolling bn-friendly mosquito parties such as malaysia love party, hrp, to split the PR votes in the 13GE.
