The fact is Bahasa melayu has got no international value but only domestic function. The no overt show of support by participants of the btn could be a sign of their discomfort and inability to draw a connection between the racist remarks made and their own experience and conscience.

Umno is now caught between the werewolf and the vampire and the option to run away from both is not available. Doing away with btn means losing control over a million+ voters. Keeping btn means making a mega nonsense of najib and his 1malaysia (whatever it may mean).

Overturning the government of the day is in our constitution. Malaysia is a democracy. So nothing wrong with voting new people into government and voting the incompetent, abusive and corrupt out. What does this all mean? Its just selfish politicking going on maybe with some exception of El Horno Mahathir and the issues are largely secondary.
