YB LKS,

It is not "maybe because of climate change" , it is BECAUSE of disaster started by greedy businessmen , supported by greedier MPs and Aduns that caused damage to the climate here. You see the consequence now on land, sea and air. Soon it will appear in our neighborhood with many sick faces !. Please have some concern for Mother Nature when you people take over.

Dear YB
Whilst the climate over Pulau Perhentian has changed more importantly the political climate in our beloved Malaysia too has changed for the better.
We pray that it will continue to change for the better and that the crooks, corrupt people, the racists, religious bigots & discriminators, the political slaves, beggars & mandores will all be swept away soon in a second Tsunami.
Give all praises to the Almighty for it is only HE who works in mysterious ways with all Grace, Mercy & Fairness.

/// # Jeffrey Says:
Yesterday at 17: 17.49
“The country is entering a phase of a prolonged political stalemate, with NO sign of light at end of tunnel.” ///

Jeff, I will anytime prefer that than seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Knowing UMNO, the light is likely to be from the headlights of an incoming train - better run for your life!!!

Uncle Kit Siang,

I think the political scenes in the country is becoming more exciting by the day. After the Pulau Perhentian holidays, you'll be thoroughly recharged and can fully concentrate on correcting the wrongs of the BN government in the Dewan Rakyat. How about YB Karpal Singh? Has he come to P. Perhentian with you. He is my MP and I'm concerned about his health.
By the way, you should have asked Guan Eng come along too. He is a workaholic CM and should take a well-deserved rest. I hear people here in Penang saying he also works on Sundays, sometimes until midnight!

The tsunami coming, that wifeejane talks of in posting yesterday at 18: 56.36 above may be first a financial/economic Maelstrom, such that this country has never seen before, that makes the Currency crisis of 1997 a walk in the park!

With banks in developed countries distressed, there is a break in credit cycle that vis-à-vis interbank markets in which banks become distrustful of lending to other banks unless at high cost, will impact on banking institutions.

Already banks here have tightened credit, slowing down, withdrawing and putting on hold or withdrawn for projects, questions loom how this would depress the markets, equities & commodities and the housing/construction industry, one of the main economic pillars, whether foreclosures will spread against the backdrop of spiraling inflation…

[Yet one of our main financial institutions - Maybank - is ‘gungho’ to acquire Bank International Indonesia (BII) for RM8.3 billion (that Bank Negara has reservations of the price). When the crisis hits in full force we also don’t know whether Maybank’s due diligence can capture accurately the potential extent to which BII’s loan assets may deteriorate by sudden mushrooming non performing loans!]

The question is how it will impact politically on the ruling parties, warlords and their cronies when their projects stall, assets in markets as well as various sectors of economy including banking, get deflated, and how the government, already beleaguered by weak leadership and factionalism, could manage these challenges vis-à-vis the ordinary Malaysian’s rising discontent and hardship, and how the Pakatan Rakyat will leverage against this backdrop.

Good to see Uncle Lim having good holiday in Perhentian Island... i saw it in Facebook and i saw in Harakah Newspaper that you also went to visit Ustaz Hadi at his house in Marang. To be honest with you, i'm very happy to see that... at least what i read in Utusan Malaysia is not true... Happy to see DAP and PAS still a good friend and i really hope this will everlast forever... sedangkan lidah lagi tergigit...

anyway .. i am also happy to see you guys having a good holiday in Malaysia just like me and other local people. Not like BN and Umno MPs... having a total luxury holiday overseas. all the best Uncle Lim

MASS developtment project that ends with ashes as it only gaves beneficial for the MP's and their colonies also tribute the loses of our precious Trees and Greenhouse effect.

• THE FUTURE most precious (ENERGY) = Fuel (sold/discriminate by a bunch of kleptocrat).

• WHITE SAND = Solar Energy, in Malaysia had 99% purest in the world. Its the main raw meterial for solar chips (sold/discriminate by a bunch of kleptocrat).

What are we stand a chance to survive in future without all these?

• LET IT BE?!!!

Uncle YB Lim, the DAP team deserves this holiday break after all the hard work to achieve the March08 tsunami!
And oh, by the way, just to kay poh a little. How many members of the team went for the break?
Try to match lah the GOONS amount of approximately reported figure of 500,000 pounds for around 20 morons! (this is for achieving the March08 results, then in future 1,000,000 pounds for achieving a changeover) then bill the GOON government for it under the topic - refresher and recharging course for the betterment of ALL MALAYSIANS!
Am sure the RAKYAT doesn't mind this small amount (as compared to what they spent and it's in foreign land).
Ha ha ha .
Enjoy yourselves guys and gals.

Son of Perpaduan, Jeffrey

The Beach is beautiful, the sea is calm and the weather is fine. Suddendly u feel a slight dizziness. An earthquake from far away land. You walk along the beach, sea cucumber strew across the beach. U r wondering what is the phenomenon.

Far into the ocean through ur binocular u can see a thin white line. Ha! what a beautiful scene. Exactly like Uncle Kit enjoying in Pulau Perhentian.

The white line approach nearer. It like a small ripple in the middle of the sea. What a beautiful and serene view.

The ripple approach nearer now it looks more like a small waterfall in the middle of the sea. What a wonderful view.

As the waterfall reaches the shores it turns out to be hugh tidal wave more like the white water surfing but many times stronger and bigger.

That is the tsunami coming. So friends, I assume this is what our uncle Kit tries to tell us. Hold tight and run to higher ground he is hinting to those on the political beach or u might be swept under. Well the tsunami also will bring along tonnes of mud, sludge and rubbish dump by our unscrupulous politician into the political ocean.

Jeffrey, what do you suggest?
It seems that there is no provision in the constitution for this and that.
I'm sure that after fifty plus years of UMNO/BN rule, they would have bent all the rules in their favour!!
That's why it's very difficult to play by the book!
The PR must do everything in its power to effect a change of government even if it means enticing the government MPs to jump ship.

One can understand son of perpaduan’s sentiments expressed in posting at 13:41.15 above.

The country is entering a phase of a prolonged political stalemate, with sign of light at end of tunnel.

Although all await the PM’s announcement on 9th Oct, no one would be surprised at his declining nomination for the president's post in the Umno giving way to power brokers/warlords - identified with the old order of Mahathirism - taking over, ostensibly to thwart Anwar’s realization of the 19/16 take over project.

Anwar himself is resoundingly quiet of late. Hopes pinned on his 9/16 takeover are fast receding and Raja Petra Kamurudin, fighting the people’s cause, is languishing in Kamunting with no prospects of reprieve.

Many then turn their hopes to the traditional rulers hoping that they will break the impasse by perhaps dissolving parliament to pave the way for fresh elections given the imminent resignation of the PM and the need to replace him by one who could command the majority in Dewan Rakyat according to article 43(2)(a) of the Federal Constitution.

However this too encounters the impediment that there is nothing in the constitution that expressly confers on Rulers the right to dissolve parliament if the retiring PM does not request for it!

Besides, Dawsheng has also cogently argued in his posting at 14:18.01 in the earlier blog thread { Abdullah - “to be or not to be”} that rulers are themselves might well be resistant to change, there being neither precedence nor motive for them to be partisan to facilitate a change of government, upsetting the status quo and those who have ruled for 50 years, in possible imperillment of the institution of constitutional monarchy.

Meanwhile, if one reads the latest news, more and more powerful contenders are surfacing to contest for posts to ascend the party hierarchy, made possible by the imminent departure of the present premier, with every promise that the old Order of Mahathirism will continue to thrive long and prosperously.

The champions of the people at DAP Hqrs have, on the other hand, taken a pleasant break at Pulau Perhentian.

Some of us feel that we may as well also take a break for nothing else could be done to advance the cause of change beyond the present stalemate and impasse…..

son of perpaduan said he lost interest in this blog.

I suppose he has good reasons : neither this blog nor others have any ‘new’ workable ideas to go beyond the stalemate and impasse as the idea for change itself is growing stale.

I'm wondering what are u really want to say. Is it about having good time, and so there will be no 'earthquake' comes the next parlimentary sitting? Or, is it about the eastern folk who are now so peaceful with the new scenario in politics? Or, is it that the DAP members are trying to tell the easterners that they are fun loving people, and do not wish to shake the present mode of life? Or, are u trying to tell us that u have already achieve what u aspire?

DAP members are loyal unlike BN. They spend the money within the economy so that there is some multiplier effect on the locals. The BN Backbenchers on the other hand spends on air travel, expensive accomodation, tours disguised as study groups. A lot of forex lost.

So who are the real Malaysians?
