The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi suffered two mortal political blows within a short period of six months – the first “political tsunami” of March 8 general election which smashed UMNO’s political hegemony, ended Barisan Nasional (BN)’s unbroken two-thirds parliamentary majority and drove BN into the Opposition in five states now run by Pakatan Rakyat governments and the second “political tsunami” in the August 26 Permatang Pauh by-election, where Anwar Ibrahim stormed back to Parliament with a thumping majority of 15,524 votes after an enforced absence for a decade.
Who would have thought that Abdullah’s third mortal political blow could have struck so fast and so devastatingly as to plunge his image, credibility, authority and legitimacy as Prime Minister to their lowest point since he took over from Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as the fifth Prime Minister less than five years ago?
And this third mortal political blow to Abdullah was primarily self-inflicted, the direct result of his flip-flops over Bukit Bendera Umno division chief, Datuk Ahmad Ismail’s racist reference to Malaysian Chinese as “penumpang” in the country.
In this instance, Abdullah out-flip-flopped himself as he took at least five different positions in the past two weeks, viz:
• On 30th August, Abdullah condoned and excused Ahmad’s offensive, insensitive and racist speech, claiming that Ahmad had not “meant it”.
• On 3rd September, to head off protests from all directions both inside and outside Barisan Nasional, Abdullah agreed that his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Razak should apologise on behalf of Ahmad, with Najib conceding: “It (Ahmad’s comment) was totally unwarranted and doesn’t reflect the position and attitude of Umno or the leadership of Umno. We regret it very much.”
• On 4th September, Abdullah adopted a third position declaring that he was trying to contact Ahmad to ask him to tender a personal apology.
• On 6th September, Abdullah backed down in the face of revolt by Ahmad endorsed by 13 Penang Umno divisions (including Abdullah’s Kepala Batas Umno division) refusing to tender any apology on the ground that he was the aggrieved party. Abdullah accepted Ahmad’s self-serving and ridiculous explanation that his speech “based on historical facts” had been misinterpreted by Sin Chew Daily.
• On 8th September, Abdullah declared that he was “very unhappy” with Ahmad’s second press conference yesterday as Ahmad had outdone his racism and insensitivity in the “penumpang” remark.
In his second press conference yesterday which was suggested by the Prime Minister, Ahmad, backed by 13 Penang Umno division leaders, warned the Chinese in Malaysia not to mimic American Jews in seeking to control the country’s economy but also its political power; told Gerakan to leave the Barisan Nasional; demanded that Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon should be stripped of his post as the state Barisan chairman and the post be given to the MCA and reiterated that he would not apologise for his “penumpang” remark made at a Permatang Pauh by-election ceramah on Aug 23.
At the end of the press conference, a picture of Tsu Koon, which was hanging on a wall, was publicly brought down and torn to pieces.
The whole country and even the world is watching as to whether Abdullah would allow himself to be held to ransom by an Umno division leader with the threat of leading an open revolt in Umno not only in Penang but also in the country.
The Ahmad revolt is the direct result of Abdullah’s weak and indecisive leadership, out-flip-flopping himself and transforming what should be a very small issue which could be resolved with a directive to Ahmad to apologise and set a good example as a model Malaysian into a major political and nation-building crisis.
Ahmad’s antics and histrionics are irrelevant and he should be ignored altogether.
The sole issue is whether Abdullah will stop his flip-flops and assert his authority and leadership to demonstrate that he is Prime Minister for all Malaysians regardless of race, religion or political beliefs and remain true to his pledges and commitmernts to uphold the 1957 Merdeka social contract, 1963 Malaysia Agreement, 1970 Rukunegara and Vision 2020 objective of a Bangsa Malaysia.
There are extremist and irresponsible politicians who are trying to fan racial flames to incite communal tensions and foment unrest as the passport to regain political mastery in the country.
As the Prime Minister for all Malaysians, Abdullah must slap down these extremist and irresponsible politicians and not allow them to rear their ugly heads to hold the future of the people and nation to ransom for their petty and despicable ambitions.

Uncle Lim, let me digress a little from the topic.
There is another solution that I have been thinking about.
Since the Malays outnumber all the other races and an election is a one man, one vote affair, why don’t the minority races engage the Malays in a population race!
I’m quite sure that the combined efforts of these minorities will result in their becoming the majority races which ultimately mean more votes for them and with good governance in the areas captured by them, may also result in their having a two-thirds majority, with the power to change the constitution for the betterment of all Malaysians.

whats right is right, and wrong, wrong, irregardless of race and background.
The new malaysia should uphold the rule of law.It takes courage and leadership to make the right decision, even though it may be unpopular.
I really wonder for someone with a big house, and his own private pool, is the right person to be talking about being oppressed.
I believe there will be more of this to come, in their last desperate attempt to remain in power.
It is even more vital for us to stick together now, as we come towards the final countdown.
Please remain cool and calm, and protest silently. The wolfs in sheeps clothing would try to confuse us now. They would pretend to be fighting for us, when they are the actual ones that devour us.
Be smart, malaysians.Keep our eyes on the prize. A country, for once, we can call home and mean it. An environment, for once, where we are all brothers and sisters.A vibrant economy, that is lucrative and where the revenues are used to help all malaysians, irregardless of background. Lets put some meaning back into our citizenship.
At the end of the day, we should ask ourselves what does it mean to be a malaysian? Not what does it mean to be a malay, chinese or indian.
Whats wrong is wrong, whats right is right. This should be applied to all malaysians.

Dear All,
This is just another show or act that we stirred up the emotion of different races. DAP or PR’s component parties should not join in the bandwagon and sing to the tune of the racist comment.
Just ignore them, let MCA sing the tune. PR’s component parties should instead outline how and why BN start this racist show/act, I belief UMNO, MCA, MIC and all BN’s component parties know about this act behind closed door. I am not surprise if they have organize and become actors in it too.
Be more mature lah!

AAB will definitely NOT order AI to apologize. Maybe KTK is also play-acting to demand AI to apologize.
If AAB were to order AI, it is Malay ordering a Malay. No racial tension.
If KTK demands from AI, then it is Chinese vs Malay. Start to prepare for 513 already…
No point in asking AAB to take action. I think this is what he wants. My bet is that AI will continue to rant and shout about pendatangs and all. He may even add more insults…
PR should send people out to tell the masses to ignore such insults. Do not reply when provoked.
Also, do send a message that whatever the BN component parties say, esp Gerakan and MCA and MIC, they do NOT represent all Chinese or Indians or any other ethnicity in Malaysia. They have been voted out so they are not representing us.
I am sure that they will be used to utter some racist remarks back at the Malays thus sparking another 513.
BN goons want their power back badly and I am very sure that they are willing to kill for it.

Ahmad’s latest outburst fits quite there as one of those unseen hands poignantly composed in ‘Hidden Hands’ by Said Zahari in Kuah’s May 13 book. But all Malaysians would be the loser fi given to sentiments.
So I would deal with Ahmad’s venture firstly as a product of democratic leeway come hithetrto to the Malaysian political scene, and secondly to optimize efforts dealing with such type of incendiary.
Malaysian have AAB to thank/curse for the more liberal leeway AAB has allowed since he became the Malaysian PM. Whether this came about intentionally or an unintentional does not matter. This liberty to speak one’s mind unhindered by police action is the very essence making up democracy.Malaysian particulary those in the opposition have always sought the government allow democratic ways to prevail. [Of course, it would be only true democracy if any Tom Dick and Harry can likewise speak their mind unhindered by police actions].Therefor in true democratic spirit, Ahmad’s outburst should be rebutted convincingly in similar manner [press statements] showing where the errors and flaws are in Ahmad’s frenzy. In other words, treat the whole episode as a public debate – nothing more, nothing less. No ones feelings and sentiments need be hurt. Treated this way, racial sentiments and its ugly tail, racial incitement, WILL not come about – Ahmad has just been proving this on quick take. Two quick takes can be made here: keep alive this government, and treat Ahmad offering as an open invitation to public debate.
However, Ahmad outburst should also be viewed as an ‘improvished explosive device’[IED] under the control of master planner[s]. As such, having ‘exploded’ Ahmad is nothing more but a spent and shattered casing – he is no longer a concern at all. But there can be many of such IEDs. As in Iraq, these IEDs can cause a lot of collateral, and are highly dramatic and physcological intimidating in nature as intended to be. But as also in Iraq, the best way to neutralize and render safe from such IED is to understand the mind of the planners, gather forensics, and pin down the master planner.
So, deal with Ahmad through the democratic ways, keeping in mind that he is already a spend shell. However, there can be many future Ahmads, and the best way to deal with them is to expose its master handlers.

i would advise everyone to ignore this racist ahmad… i believed this is part of his strategies to stoke racial sentiment which leads to clashes and to declare Emergency… Penang is not under BeeNd anymore ma… Penang is under DAPs control and of cause our fella UNMO goons tak dapat cari makan ma… periuk nasi going to be kering, thats why la they reacted this way… want to cause Emergency then DAP cant rule anymore… he thinks the rakyat are also as bodoh as him… we, chinese, are far more educated today… do you think that a CLOWN can really provoke us??? so everyone dont fall into his trap of creating another may 13… let DAP do their job in Penang and slowly the UNMO goons will die of hunger…

Why is this Ahmad acting as such?
My deduction is that he is on his ‘last leg’ and is going for broke. Since he has not much to lose, might as well, play to the extreme; giving provocative statements, et cetera.
One thing for sure, he has no respect for its leaders; to be exact BN – UMNO, least to its state’s leader. Whatever his motive is, it is not good to create such ruckus lately particularly in this month of Ramadan. Humbleness and utmost respect to Allah is vital in this month. His actions can tell you what type of a person he is.
All in all, he should realize his actions and come to senses. I hope all things will settle quickly and amicably without resorting to any actions that will lead to disharmony.

Again why is Badawi being held solely responsible for this? I have always said we lived in a elected Sultanate but even I don’t hold Badawi entirely responsible for this. The truth is the entire UMNO Supreme Council is responsible for this.
Tan Siok Choo daughter of Tan Siew Sin and grandaugther of Tan Cheng Lock puts it correctly, when he said Ahmad Ismail is a collective Malay political leadership problem.

‘Sack Ahmad and detain him under ISA’
nahh…. save your words la… ISA is only for Rakyat and leaders of PR… those UNMO goons are invulnerable of ISA… we shall see any ’stern’ actions will be taken on him… we have a minister in Bolehland putting ISA on hindraf n RPK on the 2nd day of the incident but no ISA for racist Ahmad even after 1 week… Konon the botak said, ISA is essential to maintain peace of the country… come on la… stoking racist sentiment still safe ah… another double standard in Bolehland…

It is not fair to place the entire blame on AAB for the furore caused by AI.The big mouth old mamak should be taken to task for the deep seated racism and arrogance nurtured by his party during his 22 years as the helmsman.

What is disconcerting is that the PM has lashed out at Ahmad Ismail ostensibly for reasons that he has no right to ask BN to sack Gerakan rather than the more significant ground that he made racist remarks “Pendatang” of the Chinese community and instead of amelorating further compounded the injury by reference to “Amercans Jews”.
What is further disconcerting is that up to now Ahmad Ismail appears to have so far escaped immediate punishment/discipline and successfully stood up against and undercut the moral authority (primarily) of PM Badawi (whose supposedly home state is Penang from which the 13 ‘rebellious’ divisions supporting Ahmad Ismail are based) and, to a lesser extent, the deputy Najib (who has apologised for UMNO on his behalf) as well.
This is UMNO factional struggle at its most intense. One can only wonder whether Ahmad Ismail’s recalcitrant stance and playing the usual race/religious card is acting alone in response to or creating opportunities or in acting in concert with premeditation backed by other power brokers.
I guess the general feeling amongst power brokers is that something has to be done fast to undermine PM’s leadership which left alone will lead to Anwar’s Pakatan Rakyat taking over relegating UMNO to dustbin of history for another 50 years.
We must remember that the vested interests accumulating over 50 years of BN’s rule are very extensive reaching every fabric of government and society. They will never allow, at any costs, Anwar’s PR to take over in this way and in this time. Let us not kid ourselves that things will proceed smoothly as Anwar plans. Already our Ringgit is sliding fast against (rising) US Dollar in part due to outflow of the monies including ill gotten gains of vested interests out of the country – just in case….
The threat of a take over by crossovers is taken very seriously or else:-
1. Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad would not have been persuaded to rejoin Umno to support Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah for the post of Umno president in the party elections in December as disclosed lately by Sabaruddin Chik;
2. 49 BN MPs won’t be taken for a ‘study’ tour to Taiwan. Sure, this is not a permanent solution. However it suffices to thwart Anwar from meeting the magical deadline of 16th Sept laden with symbolic significance to East Malaysians!
This is because whatever documentation Anwar has obtained – if he has obtained such – regarding defections will likely be after 8th March 12th Election but before the 12th election candidates put by by BN would have put up declarations that they were loyal to BN’s parties and would not defect that presumably conflict with such latter declarations to defect that they might have given DSAI. In such a conflict of documentaion, if the crossovers were to be brought to the Yang di Pertuan Agong to make up the numbers, His Majesty might just require pysical presence of defecting MPs to confirm that their latter declarations to DSAI prevail and subsist superseding their earlier ones to BN! If these MPs are not present on 16th Sept. then there is no way for DSAI to achieve his stated purpose by that date!
Stability of the country no hinges on how the PM handles and diffuses the crisis created by Ahmad Ismail who seems to be bolder by appeasement. If mischief makers were behind him, then anything can happen for an excuse to be concocted to foil PR’s takeover plans by a clampdown.

We are moving closer and closer to 16 September 2008, the date that marks a watershed in Malaysian history!
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” (Charles Dickens) – A Tale of Two Periods in Malaysian history.
Obviously Ahmad Ismail and his gang of Umno warloards from Penang are agents provocateurs, deliberately provoking Malays and nonMalays to carry out rash action or racial riot. They were using words that deserve them to be locked up under ISA. They were telling AAB and NR to F Off! They want the nation to enter into a state of chaos and emergency!
Can anyone keep a tight rein on the potentially dangerous and explosive incitement of Ahmad Ismail and his gang of Umno warloards? It looks like AAB cannot. Who can?
KTK – Why do people still expect him to function properly? His head had already been torn off from his neck and his face had already been ripped to pieces by Ahmad Ismail and his gang of Umno warloards! No more KTK lah!
Funny, for a guy who sold his soul and principles to work with Umnoputras for so many years, this is the terrible ending he got from Umnoputras. See how they tore KTK up – it reminds us of one of the worst ways ever of bestowing death to a human by an ancient emperor: five horses separate body (“wu ma fen shi “)! RIP!

Since when are we on “military rule” that military personnel can comment on civilian matters?
#18 by Jeffrey on Tuesday, 9 September 2008 - 12:19 pm
PM appears to be in a quandary. 13 UMNO divisions supporting Ahmad Ismail are from Penang – supposedly his power base. And these UMNO divisions have alienated Penang’s Gerakan & MCA as well. The entire BN of Penang is in disarray: if one were to have an election tomorrow, the PM may lose his parliamentary seat! That’s how big the crisis and that’s why he is using kid’s glove to deal with these group of ‘rebels’, who are only emboldened by his appeasing approach to undermine his authority further.
Meanwhile MalaysiaInsider reported :
(Quote) /// “Malaysia’s Defence Forces Chief Jen Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal has asked the government to take stern action against those who bring up racial issues. This is because such issues can bring about chaos to the country”.
The General’s remarks comes amid rising tensions brought about by the controversial comments about the Chinese in Malaysia which was made by Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail.
Abdul Aziz’s is considered unusual because it is rare for Malaysian military officials to comment on civilian issues/// (unquote).
Food for thought!
#19 by Ken G on Tuesday, 9 September 2008 - 12:22 pm
Ahmad’s attempt to rouse racial sentiments will not work. Malaysian society is far removed from 40 years ago. The conditions for 513 which was a sharp class divide between the races no longer exist now.
Nevertheless, these rabble rousers will still give it a shot. Badawi’s mistake was not to put down Ahmad immediately. His went on to make an even bigger mistake to accept Ahmad’s half-baked explanation.
If Badawi fail to take stern action now, his position as PM will be untenable. If it flares further, he may have to go immediately. But why should this enlarge further unless those in power are totally inept at managing this third tier leader?
When the dust has settled, it is the component parties in BN which will suffer the greatest damage. No more can they pretend that they are in a power sharing partnership with respect for all races. The racist face of Umno has been revealed and the weakness of the response by Umno leaders will continue to haunt the coalition which may even break up.

Finally, we see a Malay hero who speaks the minds of all Malay. Datuk Ahmad Ismail is a brave leader and he is the new hero of all Malay. All the orang Melayu should look up to him as an example. We have finally stood up and we want to tell the world that we will not fear any threats and we will fight with our life to protect our rights and things belong to us. No one can challenge our rights. The Chinese have since made ridiculous demand for the UMNO division chief to apologise over something that is historically correct. There is nothing wrong to state the fact. The Chinese were immigrants and they should accept the fact that they are subordinated to the Malay if they want to live in this country. Anyone who intend to challenge our rights will have to bear serious consequences. The act from the Bukit Bendera Umno division chief is a brave one and it represents a new generation of Malay leaders who do not fear anything. His act should be highly commended and acknowledged by all the rest of UMNO leaders.

I would like to suggest that you push BN component parties to instead attack UMNO Supreme Council particularly Najib instead of relying on the PM.
Unless you are confident of taking over next week, if Badawi falls now, it will mean a longer road to fight against these bigots once they control UMNO. Ahmad Ismal words and his supporters’ actions really disappointed and angered me, and I’m sure all right thinking Malaysian Chinese would feel the same. Are these ppl trying to spark off another May 13 and put the country 51yrs of racial harmony in jeorpady?
Dr Koh has taken a firm stand and daringly spoken out against Umno these few days on this issue..that is good albeit too late and that was why he was being rebuked and even ‘torn into pieces’ by these Umnoputras now. It clearly shows one thing, no BN component party shall go against Umno. Today Gerakan has almost no position in BN anymore, that is why these ppl are so daring. Perhaps, we shall very soon see Ong Ka Ting’s face being torn too..
Pak Lah and Najib has clearly FAILED to settle this issue amicably.. His flip flop and lack of a clear stand aside, we can see that Pak Lah has failed to command the support of even his home state 13 Umno divisions when they defy him openly by saying Ahmad need not to apologise.. How can he control the entire nation when he cannot even handle the Umno divisions in 1 state? I am waiting to see what is the action will be taken by the PM against this brainless guy after today’s meeting with him… I bet he will not be sacked or charged with Sedition Act / ISA for sure… Perhaps just let off with a warning :)

The only real problem was the implication of the NEP which has been totally failed to assist the masses, the Malay in particular and it has instead go to certain elite, well connected group, people like Ahamad and so fore. When these people are fell threaten by the losing of political power they refuse to admit their mistake and instead raise the issue of racial sentiment. In doing so they hope they can create another opportunity to gran back the power they have all this while enjoy. They also hope that they can continue to rob the nation wealth and keep to themselves with out any hard works and effort being put in.
308 GE has clearly shown that no only one race has realised the fact but the Malay themselves also has realised that the NEPhas not helping the creation of wealth for the MAlay.
I call upon all Malaysian, regardless of their race, religion let work together, let condemn this sort of race sentiment, let work together to prosper. But this will only can achieve with a strong leadership. And we all hope that let not ruined all the efforts by our forefathers who have fought with blood and sweat for independence just because by some one who is short sighted and of low class.

Having said that, it will also be a challenge for Pakatan government to deal with Malay / non-Malay racial issues when it takes over.
As “Hishamuddin” pointed out above, all these are results bred by MCA/Gerakan/MIC over the last 50 yrs..by their silence, kow-towing and inactions… So YB, pls help to ensure Pakatan balances this well. Though Anwar’s stand is clear so far..all Malaysians should be treated fairly and equally with Malay rights still being protected… But this could also sound contradicting : Scrapping NEP is being fair to all races, but does this mean then it will infringe Malay rights?
As far as I know, the Constitution penned on 31st Aug 1957 is clear on the Malay rights and privileges in exchange for citizenship to Chinese and Indians..so what on earth is the relevance of talking abt pre-Independence and Chinese being “Pendatang” anymore?? Is Ahmad trying to remind us again that we WERE once immigrants..so we should still behave like an immigrant?! That is assuming, this was what he meant as he claimed now…
Like many pointed out, Chinese and Indians have toiled on Malaysian soil for the past 51 yrs, contributing significantly to its nation-building..as much as the Malays do.. Today, we should be looking at a Malaysian agenda to further prosper and develop the country.. rather than looking backwards at Malay destiny, Chinese immigrants and pre-independence! I do appreciate Malay history and we should, but do we seriously think it is time for a change now? Or do we still want to stay comfortably inside our ‘tempurung’ or dinosaur’s cave lagging behind many developed nations around us?
I pray that Pakatan will take over this government soon..whether it is Sept 16 or after.
A Frustrated M’sian Chinese in S’pore.

After 39 years, those arrogant UMNO still wants to talk on 513 ? Not small fries but big guns like Division head and state BN head.
Just imagine, what kind of an animals we have bred these 50 years ? Whose fault is it ?
U do not need to send those MP for agriculture workshop in Taiwan, instead you should send them for kindergarden lesson on racial harmony.
What fools we have after 50 years of independence.

Kasim Amat… well you finally wake up after missing for a week. Did your husband stop you from posting?
I like your comment on Ahmad Ismail. Well, what about if a Kadazan says the same thing? “Get lost you Melayu, this is Tanah Sabah, untuk orang sabah, bukan UMNO”? What would happen if a Dayak says, “Get lost you Melayu, we are headhunters.”?
Kasim, if that is your mentality, it shows how shallow your thinking is. This world is big enough for both of us, but too small to accommodate our greed. Unfortunately, it is such ultra thinking and racist UMNO man that would get far in UMNO. So, Kasim, your political future is very bright.

The way I see it …. there is no racial clash here… just Ahmad who happened to be a Malay that got cornered.
I would hope all see it this way ….. no racial clash …. just a timid boy hiding behind “MAMA” pretending to be SuperMan caught with his pant’s down.

Zak will a pure Malay stand up and be counted. Most MALAYS if not all have foriegn blood running in their veins.Malays are descendents of ARABS, BUGIS,JAVANESS, PORTUGUES CHINESS and many more.
So by right as the UMNO BIGOT said ”MALAYS are also PENDATANG.”
What is surprising in MALAYSIA is “” AS LONG AS ONE OF YOUR PARENT IS A MALAY AND A MUSLIM YOU ARE REGARDED AS A MALAY” Even if the other parent is a Chiness, Indian,Eurasian or even a Martian.
A friend of mine took a Malay girl as his second wife. His children from his second wife are all regarded as MALAYS.Where by his children from his first wife are still Chiness. So Zak what are shouting about.

can I ask the pm now “Is the king happy with UMNO right now?????”
I don’t agree YB LKS should extend his hands to pm to help him solve this problem. No! no! no! Like AhPek said, no point and no use. UNLESS, pm is ready to rid all his family/cronies greed for MONEY!!!! Let’s ask ourselves, do you all actually think that all politicians especially pm/dpm really, really, really, really, REALLY care for the rakyat? All these giving out handouts and aid to orphanages and whatnot shown in the media are just propaganda. Why only do it during ramadhan? One last caution, it will be really suicide to bring back TDM and cronies!!!!! Don’t ever let that happen, for goodness sake!!!! I got a feeling also that he (tdm) is behind this fella, giving or instigating him to go against pm (as if I care) but who doesn’t want peace and harmony in this land??? So, please, REJECT AT ALL COST OF BRINGING BACK TDM INTO THE FOLD, INTO THIS GOVERNMENT IF DSAI CANNOT SUCCEED THIS 916!

“A visibly upset Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said he would seek an explanation as to why things got unruly in Penang yesterday.
He was referring to the press conference at Menara Umno in George Town where Ahmad’s supporters tore up a poster of former Penang chief minister …
…
why, why, why, I feel like telling him he’s been a naughty, naughty boy… oooh… he makes me sooo mad I feel like telling my mommy what he’s done….”

It is fast becoming apparent now that Ahmad Ismail is just a “special man on misssion” to pave the way for TDM to return to UMNO’s fold. As I have said the whole house of UMNO is crumbling and now the ceilings and roof tiles are falling on the heads of Gerakan & MCA.
I thought they were going to bury Anwar Ibrahim in PP!

The long term solution is to CRIMINALISE RACISM
in the country by the govt whether it is BN or PR. Tell everybody that racism is not condoned or accepatble behaviour just like stealing, robbing, cheating, etc Make it a criminal offence and stop classifying as it “sensitive issue”. Once racism is criminalised, if you commit an act of racism and if found guilty you served out the punishment as meted by the court. Then and only then acts of racism verbal or otherwise will be minimised effectively
