Please don't waste your time over this sacking. It is not worth it.
I remember there was a big hue and cry on his appointment. Dont' worry some umnoputera will after all take his place...back to square one.

as long as the crook in umno still in power, there is no chance that malaysian will have 1st-world mentality leader. Even if we said 3rd-world mentality is already given them tones of credit which i dun think these crook worth it.

it is great to see AAB taking such steps - raising price for foods, raising price for petrol, sacking of sanusi from UIA, what else? putting the HINDRAF guys in the ISA, the FRU hitting innocent people and etc...giving the people more confidence that they are making the right choice by electing PR for the rest of the 5 states. imagine if AAB got another landslide victory again in the recent election. it could be even worst. petrol can straight go RM4 per litre!!!!!

Shouldn’t the authorities adopt a “hands-off” policy on the political inclinations of university administrators or academicians so long as they do not allow their political affiliations to intrude into their university duties? -- LKS

Point taken. I have no doubt that everyone would agree on this, in general.

While the main intention of the posting was to highlight AAB's ineptness, using Sanusi's case was a bad idea, judging from the various responses in reply to your posting. The person being sacked in this instance got that position because he is a crony, and got sacked for falling out with his crony masters. And no one will believe that he has any merits to remain in that post. A lot of people would say he deserves the sack.

When the person is a crony, he deserves all he can get (including all the crap) for being that.

Nottingham University has got a certain prc chinese theoratical physicist as its chancellor.
And they were very pleased.
How foolish. What mad dogs they are!
Obviously that university has a thing or two to learn from us.
Idiots. Cant those mad dogs see that politicians can do a better job.
Even politicians who are already past their "use by" date.
Yes. Yes.
We should capitalise on our experience.
Teach the world perhaps.
You know - our way. Yes our way of doing things.
Ex-Minister as chancellor.
Maybe, ex-MB as headmasters.
The possibilities are never ending.

Sanusi has been removed from his position for the same unknown reasons he was appointed.

There is no reason for anybody outside of BN or UMNO to applaud his appointment or lament his removal.

Asking for an explanation for Sanusi’s sacking unfortunately gives due credit to his appointment in the first place.

The sacking only serves to confirm that this event is only an act of cronism, from the beginning to the end. Why should Sanusi’s sacking be defended?

Don't take the position of a President or a Chancellor in our public or private universities seriously. Anyone related to or in the good book of our ruling Umnoputras will have a chance to be appointed to the position and shiok themself as a glorified academic (eg, lording over faculty members, wearing some fanciful robe, gown, and mortar board or songkok, and giving advice [what kind, I don't know and don't want to know] too).

Don't we all see the wives of our Ex-PM, PM, and DPM are already holding such position. Given a chance, their mistresses will be appointed as President or Chancellor too!
