Call for CI into all cases of murdered politicians since 2000 - any link with politics?
In an immediate reaction to the gangland-style killing of Johore MIC deputy chief and Tenggaroh State Assemblyman Datuk S. Krishnasamy in Johore Baru on Friday, MIC President and Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu revealed that Krishnasamy had received death threats week before he was murdered. He ordered all MIC buildings to beef up security.
Many questions cry out for answer. Firstly, why didn’t Samy Vellu, who was informed of the earlier death threats by Krishnasamy, take the threats seriously.
In the past decade, two MIC State Assemblymen had been shot dead in public, the previous case being Lunas State Assemblyman in Kedah, Dr. Joe Fernandez, 54, who was shot three times by two men at the Jalan Maju Jalan Harapan junction in Bukit Mertajam on a motorcycle while driving home from his clinic in Kulim on Nov. 5, 2000. Is there any reason why the two cases of elected representatives shot to death in public places were both from the MIC?
Thirdly, in ordering that all MIC buildings beef up security, is Samy Vellu suggesting that the killing of Krishnasamy is related to his political work?
On the day of his killing, it was reported that business rivalry was not ruled out in Krishnasamy’s murder.
Deputy Internal Security Minister, Datuk Johari Baharum said in Jitra yesterday that he believed that Krishnasamy’s killing had nothing to do with politics.
However, today’s Star reported that just hours after the slaying of Krishnasamy on Friday, a senior national MIC leader received a call saying he was next on the hit list.
Is there a hit list to kill MIC politicians and what is the cause of this hit list? The public must not be kept in the dark as they are entitled to know the full facts as to whether there is a hit list to kill MIC politicians and if so, the reasons for such a hit list.
Has Malaysian politics degenerated into the gutter and is infiltrated by gangsters, terrorists and other violent tendencies?
This is a matter of grave concern not only to politicians but to the Malaysian public whether Malaysia has cross into uncharted territory where gangsterism, terrorism and violence of whatever genre has becoming part and parcel of Malaysian politics - which all right-thinking and peace-loving Malaysians must oppose and reject.
This was why I had phoned up the Johore Chief Police Officer, Datuk Hussein Ismail yesterday to enquire whether there are any evidence or signs to link Krishnasamy’s murder with politics.
Although Hussein said the police was keeping an open mind to look at all possible angles, the very fact that the Johore Police Chief had not openly said that there were indications to link Krishnasamy’s murder with politics is welcome news that such links had not been established.
If there are indications of the infiltration of terrorism or violence into the political arena, an all-party summit of political leaders should be convened to nip in the bud all such undesirable tendencies.
In the past few years, there had been several killings of politicians like the murder of a Kedah MCA Youth leader Ching Eng Wah, 43, in Padang Serai in August last year.
The Cabinet on Wednesday should give serious attention to the murder of politicians and form a Commission of Inquiry into all cases of murdered politicians since 2000 to establish whether they have any links with politics and whether there is any evidence of terrorism or increasing violence infiltrating into Malaysian politics.

Semi value should conveniently put the blame on hindraf. Afterall they had accused hindraf being a terrorist organisation. Charge the hindraf leaders with murder just like the 31 poor indian souls. Then semi value will have another opportunity to appeal the the sleeping PM to drop the murder charge against them. Another bollywood hero!!!

Guys…like what Uncle Kit said…Semi Value seems to be hiding something from the public or even to his party(MIC)..i believe each of us is in doubt the motive behind the murder…wheather its politic or business…and soon after the Incident Semi Value quoted by saying the security of all the MIC branches accross the country should be tightened..as if the motive behind it is POLITIC..if its not politic no point of quoting such word as quoted by him after the incident..because the incident happened to Krishnasamy can occur everywhere? like what happen to the previous MIC member Dr. Joe Fernandez(Lunas MP), 54, who was shot three times by two men at the Jalan Maju Jalan Harapan junction in Bukit Mertajam on a motorcycle while driving home from his clinic in Kulim on Nov. 5, 2000..you guys agree with me? or just a “COINCIDENCE” Sami said so??

For those familiar with JB, the MIC HQ is located in one of the busiest part of the city. In fact, at 2.30pm, it is probably one of the busiest time of the day. Furthermore, it is less than two minutes away from the city’s main police station. And any getaway will require battling JB’s infamous inner city traffic jams.
So it begs the question why? Obviously the assassination was to send a message. If it was merely to assassinate Datuk Krishnasamy, there are plenty of opportunities with lesser risk. Clearly whoever ordered it is sending a message they can hit anyone they want at anytime they want.
Could Datuk Krishnasamy also be “collateral damage” in a larger scheme of things? The stakes are high with the impending GE and there are some who cannot afford to lose or do badly. So, if chaos is created and election suspended or postponed, they can buy time to reconsolidate their power.

The police will take their time to solve this case because it did not involve UMNO people. If they can’t find out who is the criminal they will then catch a drug addict, cover his face and say that they have found a suspect. What a “clever” way to deceive the Rakyat.

If what Loh Mui Fah said was true, there are many questions can be asked:
- Why did the PM mum over Loh’s letter and his appeal for protection?
- Same question to Tan Sri Haidar who had insisted that nobody came forward to offer information, why did he keep silent?
- What was the role of the ACA? Did the ACA act on the tip off from VK Lingam?
In short, it is obvious that the authorities knew that the clip was genuine and have already had the means to tract down the maker of the video not long after Anwar released the clip.
While in actual fact, the members of the investigation panel need no further evidence on the authenticity of the clip.
Even when the Royal Commission was formed, Tan Sri Haidar continued to be silent on the identity of the video maker. If Mr Loh Mui Fah did not voluntarily present himself to the public, I wonder he would ever be called for the inquiry.

Most of the time, people get murdered because of money. So when a politician gets murdered, rest assured it for money and big money at that. MIC, MCA and UMNO politicians have been murdered quite often…seems to prove that BN is involved in big money somehow…
